Jaden

Over the next few weeks, Darian and I were the closest we had ever been. We had been on plenty of dates, lowkey ones of course, but they were the best times of my life. We were sitting on a private beach, watching the sunset. She sat in between my legs as I had my arms wrapped around her. I occasionally left kisses on the side of her neck as the sky went from blue to orange to pink. "J, stop," she giggled. "You know you like it," she giggled a little bit while we sat in a comfortable silence. I rested my head in her hair like a pillow, before she spoke up again. "J?" "Hmmm?" I mumbled while smelling her mango scented shampoo. "How do you see us?" I smiled at the question. I'd thought about this so much. "I see us as a couple. Not necessarily a power couple or even a dating couple, but a couple that understands one another. We click, and we enjoy each others company. We can talk about anything together, and it's so beautiful. We can be different and share each others interests without feeling like we will be judged. A couple ignited by nothing but pure happiness," she titled her head to the side to look at me. We stared at eachother for a few moments, before her hand brought itself to my face and she leaned in to kiss me. The kiss lingered for a few moments before she pulled away. My eyebrows furrowed. "What was that for?" "Did you not like it?" "No, I loved it, do it again," she smirked before leaning in again, this time I let my hand glide up to her face as hers did the same. The kiss was nothing more than a few pecks, but I felt sparks like no other. She pulled away, leaving me speechless, until I finally got the courage to spit the words out. "I love you, Darian." She looked at me like I had 6 arms. I chuckled a bit. "I know it sounds crazy and maybe a little rushed but of course you've been the only thing on my mind for the past 10 months."

She raised herself and eyed me. "Why J?" "You mean a lot to me, Darian. When we first met, I honestly just felt these...things, like, you were beautiful and your personality, you were so passionate whenever you spoke. I knew you meant what you did and said all the time. You were just everything that I want in a girl," she began to run her hand through my hair while I spoke. The next words she spoke really took me by surprise. "I think I love you too, Jaden,"

Darian

Ever since that day at the beach with Jaden, things have been different. We've been close. I wanna say we're actually together now. We were in my room listening to his newest music. In the midst of one of his verses, the doorbell rang. My mom called me downstairs. I walked down to meet her. "Yeah mom?" "Someone's here to see you," she gestured towards the living room. "I've got to run out to get some more fruit for my morning juices, I should be back in a bout a half hour," "Alright." She left and I began to walk into the living room. I saw a figure sitting on the couch and fully recognized them once I got closer. "Daniel?" He looked up at me and he looked like he hadn't gotten any sleep in days.
"What are you doing here?" I stepped closer. He looked...terrible. his eyes were red and she had streaks down his cheeks. "I miss you.." he stated nonchalantly. "Daniel--" I started. "No no, just...just hear me out," I sighed as he grabbed my hands. "I need you. I need you to be with me. I need to be able to call you mine and only mine. I need you to be there for me when no one else is. I love you Darian. You know that. You make me a better person, without you I can't sleep, I can't eat, my grades are slipping...I'm miserable. I need your love and reassurance. I need you." he kissed the back of my hands as tears began to build up in his eyes. I was on the verge of breaking down completely. He had a way of making me feel so guilty, even when I know I'm not in the wrong. I felt like I'd let him down when in reality it was the opposite. "Please tell me you've given us some thought," he stated, caressing my face. "I have...and I'm sorry, but I don't think I can be your anymore...I'm sorry," I quietly spoke with my head down. "What?" he questioned and sounded so hurt and shocked. He grabbed my face, making me look up at him. His expression read complete disappointment. "I love you Daniel, but I think it's best that we...move on." "This is all my fault, I shouldn't have taken you for granted," he paused, "Have you found better?" he questioned. "I've found...something," I spoke hesitantly. He shook his head with a small smile. "Whoever it is, they're a lucky person, and I hope they treat you like the queen you are." "Thank you Daniel," we stared at. each other for a few moments. I noticed his gaze constantly dropping to my lips. "Can I just get one more?" I smiled slightly and nodded, "Why not?" I leaned in, letting our lips meet.

He kissed me so passionately, and it broke my heart to pieces. His tongue glided against mine so smoothly. I never wanted it to end. He slowly pulled away taking my bottom lip with him. We both panted as we held each other close. "I love you," he whispered. "I love you too." I walked him to the dirt and watched him pull off, my heart still a little heavy. I returned back inside and my heart got even heavier. At the top of the staircase stood Jaden with an unsatisfied glare. He'd seen everything. He walked down the steps and brushed pass me to open the front door, I grabbed his arm before he could leave. "Jaden just let me explain," he shook his head. "There's nothing to explain to me." "Just hear me out." I had a sense of déjà vu, seeing as though I was in the position Daniel was just in. "No, that was straight bullshit and you know it. God, your so selfish! You know how I feel about you and then you go and do something like that?! Do you ever put anyone else's feelings into consideration? Huh?!" We were face to face as he looked down on me. "He wanted one more kiss before we were officially over, so I gave him one." I spoke quietly, making him scoff. "That looked like something more if you ask me. I'll see you around," He shook his head before walking out of the door, closing it fairly hard begin him. I sighed and put my head in my hands. Just when I thought I had everything in order....
