A New Beginning

Chapter 8

Jaden's POV

I jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom I got ready and put on a black MSFTS shirt and some black skinny jeans. I took care of all my hygienic needs and grabbed my phone and hopped in my car. I called Darian once I was around the corner from her house.

"Hey mind if I pick you up early?" I asked her while getting out of my car.

"Sure what time?"

I walked up to her door and ring the doorbell.

"Oh hold on." She opened the door and smiled.

"I'll call you back." She said and hung up. She came and hugged me. I grabbed her waist, never wanting to let go. We released and she let me in.

"So what made you come earlier?" She asked while walking into the living room.

"Well, I wanted to hang out with you before the party."

"Really? Why?" She asked.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, it's still really hard for me to believe that you, Jaden Smith, would want anything to do with me. I'm just average compared to all the people you could be hanging out with." She said. I looked at her in shock.

"You can't seriously think that. You're not average! You're wayyyyy better than other people I've hung out with before." I protested.

"That's sweet Jaden. So what do you wanna do?"

"Anything as long as I'm with you." I said scooting closer to her.

I saw her look down and blush.

"How about I give you a tour of the house?"

"Yeah that's cool." I said as we got up.

Darian's POV

I grabbed his wrist and we jogged up the steps. I showed him all around the house and we went in my room afterwards. He sat down on my bed and I sat next to him. I looked down at my phone and saw it was 5:57.

"Oh shoot I need to get ready for the party!" I said.

"Ok. I'll be back at 7. You go get dolled up." He said touching my chin lightly.

"Okay." I smiled and walked him out. After he left I began to get ready. I did my hygiene routine and put on my outfit and make up, and added some black heels with bows on the side. I was going to meet the girls at the party. I grabbed a jacket in case it got cool and went down stairs. My brother and his friends were all on the couches playing video games when I went down their. They all looked at me and stared with their mouths open. I furrowed my eyebrows as my brother paused the game and got up and walked over to me.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

"A party." I simply replied.

"Why is your stomach showing?! He asked trying to pull my shirt, though it just came back up.

"Dude. Your sister is hot!" One of his friends said.

I giggled as Jacob glared at the rest of them who agreed. The doorbell rung and I ran and opened it. It was Jaden in a MSFT tank top and some black cut off shorts. I cracked the door so he could only see me.

"Hey Jaden." I stepped forward and hugged him.

"Hey babe." He said grabbing my waist and pulling me close to him.

"Hold up! Babe?!" Jacob pulled the door open wider and eyed the way we were hugging.

I let Jaden in as Jacob kept staring at him.

"So you got a famous boy, eh?"

"Shut up Jacob." I snarled.

"No it's fine. I'm Jaden." Jaden said holding his out. Jacob shook it and they began to converse.

"So should I chaperone this date?" Jacob asked.

"Um no. Lets go Jaden. Bye guys!" I waved at all the guys and left with Jaden.

I swear Jaden is the sweetest guy ever. This entire car ride he's been complimenting me and we've been stealing glances at each other. I'm just nervous about us possibly being more than friends. I do like Jaden and I think he likes me but him being famous just makes things....harder.

"Darian. Darian?" I drifted back to Earth as Jaden said my name.

"Huh?" I asked.

"We're here." I looked out the window and saw a big house and loud music I could hear from the car. We got out an walked through the door. It was crowded so Jaden locked our fingers together and walked towards the backyard. It had a giant pool filled with people and a grill Mateo was standing at with Stella standing next to him talking. We spotted Moises and Madison sitting in some lawn chairs by the big bonfire they made. Jaden and I began to talk to the others and mess around.

"You have an amazing house." I said.

"Thank you. You have amazing hair." He said stroking my waist long dark hair.

"Thanks. I'm gonna get something to drink." I said.

"I'll come with you." Jaden said.

We walked in the house and Slower by Brandy came on.

"Oh I love this song!" I said.

"Wanna dance?" He asked.

"Uh sure." I said. We walked towards the other couples dancing and he pulled me really close to him and we stared to grind against each other. This was one of the best days of my life.
