Daniel's POV

"Aye, hold up. I can't do this." I spoke sitting up and pushing the girl off of me.

"What's wrong?" She asked as she straddled me.

"I can't keep doing this behind Darian's back." I spoke.

Her eyebrows furrowed.

"Oh boo hoo Daniel. I'm so sick of you always wanting to bring her up. We've been doing this for months now. Even before she showed up. I don't understand what she has that I don't. Why is she always the one on your mind all the tim-"

"I love her, Deja" I cut we off. She looked at me with wide eyes.

"What?"

"You heard me. I love her."

Darian's POV

It was getting closer and closer to the dance and my butterflies were non-stop. They weren't exactly the good butterflies, but they weren't the bad ones either. I rested my head on the palm of my hand as the teacher went on and on about the different time periods of the Earth. I let out a sigh that was loud enough for the teacher to hear.

"Darian. Is there a problem?" He stopped in his tracks. All eyes were averted in my direction. I froze up. My voice got caught in my through slightly. I furrowed my eyebrows. This was a new feeling.

"Oh no. I just head a brief shot of pain in my head. It's okay now." I chocked out.

"Alright. If anything goes wrong feel free to tell me." I nodded my head. He faced the board and I threw my head on my desk.

I stood at my locker grabbing my lunch and looking down at my phone. I stared down at a weird picture of a girl in her room. It looked like she was undressing herself. Her shirt was over her head so I couldn't see her face. I furrowed my eyebrows.

"What the hell?" I mumbled. I shook my head. Someone must have texted the wrong number. I shove my phone in the pocket of my jeans and close my locker, revealing Daniel leaned up against the locker next to mine. I nearly bumped into him but stopped in my tracks.

"Hey babe." He greeted and wrapped his arms around my waist as I hugged him.

"Hey." I said as I ran my fingers through my hair.

"You alright? A few people told me you were acting weird in class earlier."

"Yeah. It's nothing. I just got a headache. Nothing major." I shook my head.

"Okay." He kept his arms around my waist as we began to walked to the cafeteria. I took my usual spot next to Willow and Daniel sat on the other side.

"I'm so stoked for this dance you guys!" Stella announced as she plopped down next to Madison.

"I know right? I wonder who's gonna get the king and queen crowns!" Madison spoke before biting a piece of celery.

"Well that won't be too hard. It's obviously gonna be Jaden and Kylie." I said while nodding my head at the table of Kylie and her posse. Just as I said that Jaden walked in the cafeteria, causing Kylie to hop up and call his name. He walked over and she jumped on him, began a little make out session. Once she pulled away, giving me a look as if I should feel some type of way about what she just did. I shook my hesd in disgust and went back to the talk at the table. I tried to play along but that weird text message stayed in the back of my mind. I mentally sighed and pitched it away once more.

I looked at myself in the mirror.

"You look hot." Willow said as she came out of the bathroom.
