Whatever can go wrong, does go wrong. I'll list the triggers in the different POVs so I don't overwhelm anyone, but there is alcohol use throughout all of it. There's also gonna be quite a lot of POV switches so I apologize in advance for that.
Camden's POV:
----I bit my lip as I watched Angie change, fidgeting with the end of my skirt she had made me. "Is there gonna be a lot of people there?"
Angie looked herself over in the mirror before she turned to me. "I won't lie to you, there might be. But just stay by my side sugar and you'll be alright."
I nodded a little, getting up from my bed and reaching my arms out to her. She smiled and I felt immediately comforted when she pulled me into her arms. I had never been one for big parties, and I was terribly nervous about this one. I had a weird feeling in my gut that I just couldn't shake off.
"And if we get separated, try to find one of our other friends, okay?" Angie put a hand on my cheek. "Daya would be a good one since she's driving. Deja and June too."
I nodded, leaning into her touch. "You can't just handcuff me to you just in case? I know Bosco has a pair we can use."
Angie laughed, leaning down to kiss my forehead. "I would, but you know our friends wouldn't ever shut up about it."
I smiled a little and took a deep breath, telling myself that as long as I was with Angie, I would be okay. She wouldn't ever let anything bad happen, and I was determined to stay beside her the whole time. Even if that meant I looked like a lost puppy.
I followed her out into the hall, finding Daya twirling a drumstick in her fingers and Maddy carrying her guitar case. I tilted my head. "Are you guys gonna play tonight?"
"Yep." Daya said with a smile, waiting for Alyssa to come out of her and Orion's dorm. "Not a ton of original stuff yet, but we've got some Green Day and Linkin Park songs down."
"Let's just hope I don't completely shred my guitar strings this time." Alyssa said, coming out of her room with her own guitar case. "Those were such a pain to clean up."
At least now I knew exactly where these three would be if I were to get lost. I'm sure they were about to be even louder than usual. But I still couldn't shake off that weird feeling.
Angie must've noticed my nerves, leaning down and kissing my temple. "You're gonna be okay, sugarcube. I promise."
Orion's POV: ❌Medication talk❌
----Did I want to go? No. Did I force myself to keep the promise I had made to Alyssa? Yes, unfortunately. And Jorgeous had fun dressing me up, there was no way I'd drop out of going and make her sad.
"You look cute." Jorgeous said over the music that was already blaring from the large house as we walked hand in hand. "Just please don't leave me alone here."
"I won't." I promised her, giving her hand a squeeze. I hadn't been out like this in a while, and it made me nervous. I needed to stay beside Jorgeous just as much as she needed to stay beside me. Especially since she was half the size of everyone here and could easily get lost. I was seriously considering tying a balloon to her wrist so I'd be able to find her just in case.
Jorgeous jumped when hearing a loud guitar, moving closer to my sider when the growing crowd of other students I didn't recognize started getting louder. She let out a forced laugh. "I guess some of our friends beat us here..."
I nodded, putting an arm around her waist as we entered the crowded front room of the house. I stiffened when someone brushed against my shoulder, biting my lip. Jorgeous was the only one I allowed touching me, and my other friends were always careful when they did it. I hated other people touching me.
