Jasmine's POV:
----

"Okay, be honest." I handed my phone to Camden, letting her and Jorgeous see my phone screen. "Would these be stupid?"

It had been a couple weeks since Bosco's breakdown, and I think I might have come up with something that could potentially help her. Or at least be something that would calm her down. But I felt kinda embarrassed talking about them, so I was thankful it was just us three sitting on the stage in the campus theater. I'd probably die if anyone else heard.

Camden tilted her head as she looked down at the picture. "They're pretty but those don't look like engagement rings. What are they?"

"They're, uh...promise rings-" I looked down at my hands, cheeks red.  "They're supposed to like, represent that I'm devoted to her and all that sappy stuff..." I don't know why I was so embarrassed to talk about this. I knew I wanted to do something special for her.

Camden giggled a little as she handed me my phone back. "That sounds really cute. I think those would be perfect for you two."

Jorgeous nodded quickly in agreement, holding her hand up to examine it under the stage light. "I'd like something like that for Orion and I. They sound really sweet."

Camden and I gave each other a knowing look. By now we all knew that Orion was seriously considering taking their relationship to the next level. All of us except Jorgeous. She was completely oblivious to it despite the fact that Willow had almost let it slip and Bosco teasingly called her the perfect wife for Orion.

"Anyways-" I focused on the promise rings again before I could say anything suspicious to her. "Do you really think Bosco would like them?"

"She'll love them." Camden smiled, doodling on the corners of her notebook. "They sound like they'll help her. Might give her some reassurance if you have to be away from each other."

"I hope that's what they'll do." I looked down at the picture of the rings again. I wasn't exactly thinking like Orion was, but it was definitely somewhat similar.

Camden hummed, tapping her pen against her notebook. "I'd like to do something a little bit similar with Angie. She mentioned wanting another tattoo soon. Would it be too weird to ask if we could get matching ones?"

I tilted my head, Jorgeous still lost in a daze beside us. "You'd do that? Even if you're afraid of needles and stuff?"

Camden nodded a little, nervously playing with her hair. "Y-Yeah, I think so. If she'd hold my hand-"

Jorgeous suddenly gasped and sat up, quickly grabbing her stuff. "I have to go help Orion carry her camera-"

"I thought her arm was fully healed?" I asked, noticing what time it was and grabbing my own bag. "She was carrying her camera bag just fine this morning."

Jorgeous huffed, swinging her bag over her shoulder. "Her ribs are still bothering her. She's not supposed to be doing that." She tried sounding angry but it just sounded concerned and worried. We watched her run out the doors. "Orion! I'm coming baby!"

Camden giggled once she had left, looking up at me. "Do you think Orion is really going to ask her to...you know?"

"I wouldn't be surprised if she did." I said as we left the theater. "I can't see those two ever wanting to be with anyone besides each other anyways."

Camden nodded and took a deep breath. "Well, if Orion can be thinking about that then I should be able to ask Angie about the tattoos."

"And I should be able to stop worrying about whether or not Bosco would like these." I sighed and looked down at my phone to see the picture of the promise rings again.

As Camden left to meet Angie in the library and I went to wait for Bosco to get out of lecture, I finally pushed myself. I was going to suck it up and get those damn rings. And just hope for the best.

Orion's POV:
----

"You shouldn't be moving this much." Jorgeous said worriedly, pulling on my sweater sleeve. "I don't want you overworking yourself."

"Angel, I'm okay." I turned to press a kiss to her forehead. "I need to get these pictures for my project."

She whined but nodded, continuing to follow me through the campus garden that had become my favorite place to take pictures. Hardly any other students came here which made it perfect to me. There was no one to watch me trying to take pictures and I got to be alone with Jorgeous.

She held onto my camera bag as I adjusted my camera lens, leaning down a little so she could rest her head over my shoulder. I really didn't need her help carrying things anymore. The pain in my side wasn't bad at all anymore, just a dull ache in the mornings now. But she was insistent on helping me, and I couldn't ever say no to those little puppy eyes she gave me.

As I aimed my camera and let her rest her hands on top of mine to steady them, the same thought came rushing back into my head. I glanced at our hands, biting my lip as I snapped a picture I had hardly looked at.

Jorgeous smiled and moved her hands away from mine. "You've gotten so good at this, Ry-Ry. I'm so proud of you."

I blushed softly, smiling a little as I took her hand and led her to another group of flowers. "Thank you, sweetheart."

Everything she said made my heart flutter. Everything she did I absolutely adored. My love only grew for her as the days passed. I had never been happy like this before. I tried staying concentrated on my pictures, but my heart raced in my chest as I finally and silently made my decision.

There was one thing no one knew about yet, and that was the fact that instead of using the money I was supposed to use for another piece of crap car was not spent on that. Instead there was now a small box hidden in the pocket of my camera bag that I had bought in the heat of the moment. And I'd be lying if I said it wasn't extremely tempting to take it out right now.

Jorgeous tilted her head a little, reaching up to kiss my cheek. "You alright? You seem a little distracted."

"I'm okay." I smiled, moving my camera to one hand and holding hers in my other. "Just thinking."

"About what?" She leaned her head against my shoulder, swinging our arms as we walked through the garden.

"Uhh..." I looked to the side, squeezing her hand. I might as well tell her some of it. "Just...about how happy you make me. About how before you I never really felt this way before. I love you so much, I genuinely want to be with you forever." I stopped walking, biting my lip as I raised a hand to her cheek.

Jorgeous smiled and giggled, leaning against my hand. "I love you too, Ry-Ry. You're my angel."

I gazed down into her eyes, and only had one thought.

You know what? Fuck it.

Obviously I had learned that life is short and I might was well live in the moment. I really didn't care what anyone else would have to say about this. My friends were on board and my family was too. That was enough for me.

"Can I...have my camera bag for a second?" My voice came out more nervous than I meant it to.

Jorgeous tilted her head but nodded, pulling it off of her shoulder and handing it to me. "Is something wrong?"

"No no, I just..." I trailed off as I set my camera down inside, having absolutely no idea what to do. I had only ever seen this stuff in movies and shows and never would've thought I'd be doing it myself. I took a deep breath, grabbing the box and hiding it in my sleeve so she didn't see it.

Jorgeous put a hand on my shoulder. "Baby?"

I turned to look down at her again, biting my lip. "Jorgeous I-" My heart pounded in my chest, and before I could really process what I was doing, I pulled the box out and sank down on one knee in front of her.

It wasn't gonna be a cliffhanger but I made it one because I'm evil.
