Jasmine's POV:
----

It wasn't a super eventful first evening on campus, and I wasn't at all complaining. I had made a couple of friends so far and that was enough for one day. The free food in the dining hall was pretty bad, but at least it was something. And hanging out with Bosco and the two other girls I got to meet, Alyssa and Orion, was pretty nice. Daya seemed cool too, and now that Maddy had calmed down she was pretty easy to talk to.

But Bosco had run off somewhere and now I was alone in our dorm room. It was late and I was exhausted, but the walls were practically vibrating from how loud the music down the hall was. I was guessing that was Daya, Maddy, and Alyssa. Don't get me wrong, they weren't bad, but they were very loud and it wasn't exactly my favorite music genre.

The banging of drums and the loud guitar were getting annoying as I tried my best to get at least some sleep. I sat up with a groan, about to get up until the door opened and I saw her silhouette in the hallway light.

"Hey, you aren't bailing on me just yet are you?" Bosco asked in a playful tone. She stepped inside and closed the door behind her.

I blushed softly, hoping she wouldn't notice in the dark of the room. God, it was pathetic how much of a hold this girl had on me. And I couldn't let it stay that way. She was my roommate and it was only my first day here. "N-No, just having trouble sleeping." I managed to respond.

"Understandable." Bosco said and used the flashlight of her phone to find her way to her bed. "Maddy is absolutely shredding that guitar tonight. Getting all her anger out."

"Do they do this every night?" I asked, glancing over just in time to see Bosco lifting her shirt off. I quickly turned my head again, gripping my blanket and hoping she didn't notice that at all. I knew I had to get used to this. It was her room too after all. But damn, I was becoming such a flustered mess already.

"Only when they don't get noise complaints." Bosco replied and tossed her shirt over her shoulder, her pants following soon after as she laid back on her bed. It was incredibly hard not to stare at her figure. "They really aren't bad. I just think they have a hard time with being able to tell how loud they are."

I nodded in agreement, laying back against my pillows again and glancing at my phone to check the time. It was past midnight and I sighed as I turned over. Based on the noise, I don't think the little band showed any sign of stopping soon. And Bosco being almost naked just a few feet away made my heart race more than I cared to admit. Once again I reminded myself that this was my roommate, I couldn't think that way about her.

Bosco didn't seem to mind the music, busy playing some game on her phone as she leaned back. But soon I felt as if I was being watched, and I tried to ignore it as I closed my eyes.

"So." Bosco started, laying on her stomach and propping her head up in her hands. "You got a girlfriend?"

That was not the question I was expecting her to ask. I slowly turned over, finding her looking at me in curiousity. I shook my head. "N-No. I've never dated a girl before. And the last guy I attempted a relationship with was...not fun."

Bosco raised a brow. "You've never had a girlfriend? How? You're super pretty. It shouldn't be too hard for you to get one." She studied me in disbelief. "And fuck that dude. I'm sure he didn't deserve you anyways."

I was quiet, trying not to let her compliment make me blush. She thought I was pretty. "I don't know. I've been told I talk too much and that I get too emotional over things and that I can be too clingy and...yeah."

Bosco frowned, probably trying to think of a way to lighten the mood now that I had accidentally brought it down. I didn't mean to, but it was the truth. Relationships were hard. I haven't even bothered attempting another once since the last guy.
