Camden's POV:
----

I walked out of the building I had lecture in and was met by Angie. She smiled, twirling her umbrella in her hands as the rain poured down outside. "My class ended before yours and I knew you didn't have an umbrella. So here I am."

I blushed softly and smiled, moving to stand under it with her. "Thank you..."

"Anything for you, sugarcube." Angie winked and held her arm out. I immediately wrapped mine around it, letting her lead me down the steps of the building.

I have to admit, I hadn't gone a single night without ending up in her arms somehow. Whether it was me getting out of bed at 2am to sneak into hers, or it was her happily giving in to my need for touch and sleeping in my bed with me. It helped a lot knowing I wasn't alone. And I definitely think I was developing a crush on her.

"I...I like when you call me that..." I shyly admitted, stepping over a puddle as we made our way through the quad. "Sugar, sugarcube, darling..." I listed them off.

Angie wrapped an arm around my waist, and I instantly snuggled closer to her side. She was warm, and the smell of her perfume filled my senses. "Then those names are reserved for you and you only."

I blushed even more, trying to hide my smile. "R-Really?"

"Really." Angie stopped walking to look down at me, raising her free hand to my cheek. My breath quickened slightly and I leaned against her touch. Fuck fuck fuck I was really falling hard for her.

"You have such a beautiful smile, Cammie." She said softly, her thumb tracing over my jaw. Just when I thought she'd lean in, there was a loud crash of thunder. I jumped a bit and Angie looked up at the rain that started really coming down.

"Come on, let's wait it out in the cafe." She said and took my hand, leading me up some stairs and into the campus cafe. I glanced down at our hands and couldn't help but think it just looked and felt right. Like our hands were made to hold each other's.

We sat down at some of the stools near the window, Angie setting her umbrella and bag to the side. "You stay here." She said with a smile, one of her fingers under my chin catching me off guard. "While I get us something."

I shook my head to protest. "You don't have to-"

Before I could finish my sentence she was already heading to the front counter. I huffed softly and fidgeted with the sleeves of my jacket. I couldn't tell if this was just Angie's personality or if she was flirting with me, and I really hoped she was flirting. It was getting really hard to hide how she made me feel, and it felt like she had already noticed.

I laid my head in my arms and watched the rain from the window, thinking until a cup of hot chocolate was set in front of me. Angie sat beside me, her leg pressed against mine.

"Penny for your thoughts?" She said softly, giving me a gentle nudge. "You look like you're thinking hard."

I bit my lip, knowing I was not about to say what I wanted to say. "Just trying to remember what my professor said today. I can't seem to remember anything."

Angie giggled, taking a sip of her own drink. I reached out to mine and thanked her, the warmth of it comforting.

"Like I said, anything for you." Angie smiled, about to link our arms again until seemingly changing her mind and lacing our fingers together instead. I blushed more, certain my cheeks would permanently be red at this point if we kept going on like this.

We sat in comfortable silence, Angie's thumb tracing over my hand and I found myself leaning against her shoulder. She made me feel like I was melting, and I was certain she had to have known that by now.
