❌Homophobia in Angie's POV❌

Orion's POV:
----

I swung my duffel bag over my shoulder after hugging Alyssa goodbye, picking Jazzy Boy's carrier up and walking down to Jorgeous and Deja's room. I was just glad Jorgeous only lived an hour away from me and I'd be able to drive out to see her. We were much luckier than Jasmine and Bosco.

I knocked once on the door before it immediately opened, Jorgeous jumping up onto me. I set the carrier down and quickly caught her, laughing a little as I kissed her forehead. "My mom is almost here. I'm gonna see you on Wednesday, I promise."

"It feels like so far away." Jorgeous groaned and threw herself back like a child, and I struggled to keep my hold on her. She tightened her arms around me and pulled herself back up, burying her head in my neck. "Please be safe. Okay?"

"I promise I will be." I hugged her tightly as I put her down. She had been growing increasingly worried and I was trying my best to get her to calm down. "You be safe too."

Jorgeous didn't let go. Instead she raised her head, tears in her eyes. "Please Ry-Ry..." She put a hand on my cheek, and I felt my heart shatter. "Please be safe."

I laid my hand on top of hers, leaning down to kiss her lips. "I promise, sweetheart. I'm going to be okay."

Jorgeous took a shaky breath before nodding. "O-Okay..."

I hugged her again before feeling my phone vibrate in my pocket, knowing it was probably my mom. I kissed the top of her head and squeezed her tighter. "I'll see you in a couple days. I promise."

"And you don't break your promises..." Jorgeous whispered, kissing my lips one more time. "I'll see you then. I love you."

I smiled, really not wanting to let go of her. "I love you too, baby. So, so much."

Camden's POV:
----

I took Angie's hand as we stepped out of the uber, still incredibly nervous about flying. The flight here from my hometown had been terrifying, especially when I had to do it alone. Even though I was nervous, the fact that this flight was a lot shorter and that I was with Angie helped quite a bit.

Her hold on my hand tightened when we walked inside the crowded airport. "Of course we leave on the most crowded day." She sighed, and I leaned closer against her side.

"How long is the plane ride again?" I asked, trying my best not to bump into anyone else who was passing by.

"Just a little over an hour." Angie assured me with a kiss to my cheek. I nodded a little and squeezed her hand, dreading having to go through security. I was starting to overthink again, desperately trying to push those thoughts away. Instead I focused on getting to see River again. I really hoped she liked Angie. She knows my past boyfriends weren't always the best, which made her a protective friend. She had talked with Angie a bit more on Facetime and they seemed to get along.

Thinking about that just reminded me that I would be meeting Angie's family in just a couple hours. I took a shaky breath, leaning against Angie's shoulder as we waited in line.

"You alright, sugarcube?" She asked, pressing a quick kiss to my forehead.  "I know this part sucks but it'll be over soon."

"I'm alright. Just still feeling nervous." I admitted, finding comfort in her arm around me. "I just hope your family will like me."

Angie sighed, tilting my head up and leaning her forehead against mine. "Babydoll, I told you they'll love you." She reached down to my hand, linking our pinky fingers together. "I pinky promise."
