Isabelle POV

I wake to the sound of an alarm clock, going crazy by the side of the bed. Before I can move out of the bed, I'm wacked in the face by Gabby's arm. I groan in pain, making her perk up. She looks at me with tired eyes and stretches before leaning over me to turn the alarm off.

We decided to share the bed because Gabby was too tired to show me the guest room and I was too lazy to walk there. It sounded like a good idea, but one hit in the head later. I'm not so sure. I roll out of the bed and tumble onto the soft carpet. Gabby looks over and smiles at me. I return the smile before hugging a teddy bear that fell with me.

It's Sunday morning so I'm not in a rush to go anywhere. After another few minutes of wishing that Gabby's alarm didn't go off, I peel my body of the floor. "Sorry, my dad has this huge party he's throwing this afternoon and I'm supposed to act like the perfect daughter." She says over dramatically. I laugh at her theatrics until I hear my stomach growl. "Can we get something to eat, before I get kicked out? I want to see how the rich eat."

"Of course, I'm not going to throw you to the wolves before feeding you. They need you fat first." I laugh dryly, secretly feeling my stomach knot up thinking about my parents.
We head down stairs to find Sylvia cooking in the kitchen like a mad women. The table was piled high with food. I looked out the window to their backyard to see a catering crew setting up for the party.

"I'm sorry girls, these people have been in and out of the kitchen all morning. I've just had a chance to get in here. Breakfast will be ready in a few." We nod our heads and take a seat on the stools by the counter. After a few minutes of complaining about why Gabby's dad has parties so early. We finally concluded it's because he's too old to stay up late.

"Here you girls go." Slyvia sets down two plates infront of us. They are covered with pancakes, bacon, and eggs with orange juice on the side. I have to contain my tears of joy before diving into this glorious breakfast. I haven't had a breakfast this good looking since my grandparents left. Gabby and Slyvia stare at me for a second, before laughing. I pause to look up at them with bacon in one hand and a pancake leaning off the side of my fork.

" What?" I say while stuffing my face with the food and washing it down with my orange juice. "Nothing. Enjoy your food sweetie." I nod my head and watch as Gabby joins in, eating with a little bit more manners. I realize what they were laughing at. I'm sitting here, hunched over my plate of breakfast like someone's going to steal it. I relax my shoulders and eat more calmly.

We continue eating and talking until Gabby has to get ready for the party. Sadly, she can't drive me back and I'm rushed out the door, to be driven back by a random guy that's supposed to be their driver for fancy events. I sit sluggishly in the seat, twiddling with my fingers and try my hardest not to make eye contact with the driver who keeps looking through the rear view mirror at me, sitting in the back seat. I try to ignore it, but it's getting a little creepy.

"So you're Gabby's friend?" I nod my head. " How'd you sleep?" I bite my lip and try to remain calm. Does he normally act so intrusive? " Yes and good...I guess." He smiles a little, before turning a corner."My names Josh. I'm twenty-two. How old are you?"
I try not to scream for help. Is he hitting on me? "17. Look, I have a boyfriend sooo..."
"Do you love him?" He ask, cutting me off. I gape at him. I can't believe this. " I don't know. We just started dating."

"Well if you ever break up. You can find me at Gabby's place." I meet his green eyes in the mirror as he stares me down. Doesn't he know that's illegal. I'm still considered a Minor. He's not ugly by far, but I don't cheat. Atleast I don't think I do. I've never had a boyfriend to cheat on. " No, thank you." I say coldly.
