       Isabelle POV

Gabby drove me and her up to the city of all places. When she meant going out, I thought she meant to a local restaurant to eat. I did not expect to be walking down a strip of stores and restaurants and who knows what? People are all over the street, so it's hard not to bump into someone, but of course Gabby doesn't hit anyone because everyone parts like the red sea. I guess she really is the senator's daughter. It's also partially her good looks. Heck, every guy we pass can't stop drowling.

I know it's stupid of me to say, but I don't feel worthy to have Gabby as my friend. She's gorgeous, outgoing and everybody loves her.

" Hey, let's go in here." she drags me into a store filled with toys? I give her a confused look. What could we possible be doing in a toy store? " What? You're never to old to enjoy a toy or two. Plus, I need more stuffed animals."

" Stuffed animals?" She looks at me like It's the most obvious answer in the world. " I collect teddy bears to sleep with. I know some people might think that's strange, but they just make you feel all happy on the inside. Like how could things go wrong for a person who has teddy bears in her room?"

I can hear the edge to her voice but ignore it. I could only imagine the pressure of being the senator's daughter. If collecting stuffed animals is what makes her happy then so be it.  Gabby runs down the aisle filled with all different types of stuffed animals. Panda bears, brown bears, care bears, giraffes, lions, and so on. Gabby grabs 3 of each stuffing it into a shopping cart that she some how managed to get while I wasn't paying attention. We walk through the store for another half an hour as Gabby just stuffs random toys into her cart.

" Are these all for you?" I ask. She jumps in place, then slowly turns her head around. " Sorry, I forgot you were here for a moment. I was in the zone and no, I donate these to orphanages."

" You donate?" I ask .This girl is perfect. I don't think i've met someone like her before. She nods her head and continues walking. " I have so much money, why not give back? If I was a kid without a family, I would want someone to buy me toys." I can't argue with that logic. Sadly, I might as well be a child without parents. Has my mother ever bought me a toy? A present? Not that I can remember.

When my grandparents were around, she always made the excuse that she forgot it was my birthday or didn't have time to get me a present for christmas. When I asked my grandparents if she was lying, they tried to cover it up, but I knew. They didn't have to tell me. Still, I would always act like everything was okay.

" Ready to check out?" I hear Gabby say, reminding me that I'm out in public and need to stop being so depressing. When we walk up to the cash register, Gabby notices these friendship bracelets that are by the counter. She instantly reaches to grab two. " This is for you." She says before purchasing both. She wraps it around my wrist and does the same for her. I take a moment to look at the details of it.

It's silver with charms going all around it and in the middle it has a charm with the word friend engraved in it. I look at Gabby who has best on hers. I can't help but smile. I have a warm feeling in my heart. Even if Seth and I can't be friends. Atleast I can be friends with Gabby. I won't let anything ruin this friendship.

After ringing everything up, Gabby tells the man to box everything up and ship it to her house. It must be nice to have that kind of power. Gabby frowns. I look at her concerned, but laugh when I hear her stomach growl. " I'm so hungry." She leans on me for support.

" Let's go some place to eat."

I have to practically drag her to the nearest place to eat which happens to be five guys. Her face instantly brightens when she smells burgers and hears the sizzling sound of the food being cooked. She stands in line, but I can't help but notice the adoring looks she's getting from the customers. Someone even pulls their cell phone out and snaps a few pictures. I can see gabby's whole demeanor change. She pulls her shoulders back and goes from having a flashing bright smile on her face to a more mature dull eyed look. It kind of scares me how much she doesn't seem like Gabby.

" Are you okay? You seem different." I ask, curiously. She looks down at me. Was she always this tall? "Yes, I'm fine. I just don't want there to be a bad picture posted of me online. People always twist things and it would be bad for my fathers image." I nod my head slightly. We both order bacon burgers and one large fry. When we sit down. I notice how Gabby has grabbed a knive and fork to cut her burger and how she sits at the edge of her chair with perfect posture.

Feeling self conscious I straighten up, but I still eat my burger normally. We barely talk as we eat. After ten minutes of silence, I finally offer to leave and eat the fries outside. Gabby gladly accepts the offer. As soon as we go outside, she lets out a breath of fresh air. " Glad that's over." She wipes invisable sweat from her forhead and continues walking down the side walk like nothing about that was awkward.

" It must be tough being a senator's child." she stops walking for a second then turns to look at me. " You get used to it. It's not too bad if you try not to think about it." That edge is back in her voice but she masks it well with a bright smile as she says, " You want to see a movie? I've been wanting to see Mocking Jay in theaters for a while now. I usually go alone, but I thought it'd be fun to see it with you."

" Sure, but I haven't seen the first ones." She practically falls on the floor. " You haven't seen the hunger games before? How could you call yourself human." She puts her hand to her chin and looks me up and down. " You must be an alien."

I wave my hands. " I am not a alien. Trust me." She nods her head slowly, still trying to take in the fact that I haven't watched the movie.

" Okay, new plan. We binge watch both hunger games at my house and see this one some other time."

" As much as that sounds like fun. Can we head back. I'm feeling a little sleepy." I yawn. I start to notice how tired I really am as Gabby disappointedly nods her head and we make our way back to her car. I don't remember when, but I fall asleep during the car ride home. Next thing I know I'm in the hospital parking lot and Gabby is shaking me awake. "We're here." She says quietly. I appreciate her efforts to not disturb the peace. I slide out of her car and walk back to my room with her .

When we get there we don't expect to see Seth sitting in one of the chairs, waiting for us to return.

Authors note

If you were one of the first people to read the last chapter I wrote and were wondering why Gabby's father went from being the mayor to the senator? It's because I felt it fit better. Sorry for the confusion.
