"What does he do?"
"Is he handsome?"
"What's his blood group?"
Deira shot the questions at Ayana as soon as she disclosed about her alliance being fixed."Blood group? Seriously?"
Ayana gave Deira a weird look."Of course. Blood group is an important factor. I mean if his blood group is O then he can give you blood in need you know."
From her doctor's perspective, Deira said."What am I? A vampire? Who needs others' blood?"
Rolling her eyes, Ayana said."What about his family? Did you check his family background?"
Saad, who was sitting a bit away, looked at Ayana blankly.
"What about his parents? What if they turned out like the previous ones?""Well... his mother is... sweet, I guess. I mean yesterday we went out and she was pretty sweet and cool."
Thinking about Mrs. Sherebano Quraish's behavior, Ayana spoke."Saad, I didn't want you to find it like this but-"
Ayana tried to justify her reason for not saying anything to her best friends earlier but was cut off by Saad."Why did you hide?"
"I didn't hide it. I just... didn't get the right time to disclose it to you guys."
Guiltily Ayana said."Since last week, you didn't get the right time to tell us when almost every day we see each other? You want me to believe that?"
Saad snickered mockingly, making Ayana look away. She wanted to tell them but knowing how they'd react knowing about the alliance, she kept quiet."Did you even want to tell us? Or are you now just telling us because I learned about it yesterday by mistake?"
"Saad!"
Deira looked at Saad.
"I'm sure Ayana had her reasons for not telling us earlier.""I wonder what her reasons are!"
Saad taunted before looking back at Deira.
"Tell me honestly Deira! Don't you feel like an outsider?""We always share everything, be it something small or big whereas she,"
Pointing at Ayana, Saad continued.
"Never share anything willingly with us. It's either we have to pressurize her or we somehow get to know about it from others."At this Deira kept quiet. It was true. She and Saad always share their every little problem but Ayana rarely shares her problems.
"Saad, it's not like that. I would have told-"
"When? After the wedding was over?"
Cutting Ayana off, Saad said rudely.
"Save your lame excuses to yourself."Getting up, Saad took his hot coffee and then dashed out of the cabin.
"Saad-"
Ayana was about to go after him when Deira stopped her."Let him go. He needs time to calm down."
