The boardroom was filled with tension as the board members gathered for a crucial meeting to decide the new chairman of the company. Yes, the new chairman because seeing the health condition of the current chairman, Mr. Hakim Quraish, the board members were not sure if he was capable of holding the post anymore. So, until Mr. Quraish was completely capable of handling the chairman position, the board members decided to nominate an acting chairman.

Mr. Badar Quraish, stood at the front of the room, looking determined. The atmosphere was charged with anticipation as the board members discussed the future leadership.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I appreciate your presence today. As the brother of the founder of this company, I believe it's time for me to take a step and help my brother carry his responsibility as the chairperson. And the best way to stay by my brother's side and to help him is by being the chairman."
With a warning smile, Mr. Badar Quraish spoke.

A guy from the back stood up before standing beside Mr. Badar Quraish. He was probably one of the man of the company that Mr. Badar bought with his money to be on his side.
"Now, ladies and gentlemen, please raise your hand if you agree to appoint Mr. Badar Quraish to be the Chairman."

Mr. Badar smiled with anticipation before looking at the board members; however, barely 40% of them raised their hands.

"I believe you all didn't quite understand the current situation of the company."
Instantly his smile turned into a frown before his friendly facial expression turned into a threatening one.
"Of course, I understand, naturally you'll want the next generation, Mr. Hakim Quraish's daughter to be the chairwoman, but I don't think she'll be capable of handling such an important position in such a short time given that it's been barely a year since she joined the company. So I believe, considering everything, you all will make the right decision."

Murmurs and exchanges of glances rippled through the room as the board members consider Mr. Badar Quraish's announcement. But before anyone could respond, the double doors at the back of the room swing open dramatically.

All heads turn to see Imraan standing at the entrance, exuding confidence. He strode forward followed by Adil, a sense of purpose in his eyes, and the room fell into silence.
"Why do you all look so scared as if you saw a ghost?"

Maintaining a constant look on his face, Imraan said.
"Is this a place where I can't come?"

"Mr. Quraish? Didn't you leave the company?"
One of the board members voiced out making Imraan smile.
