The rest of the night, Zelda told her friends about her terrible nightmare. It was needless to say that when they returned to the inn, they didn't get a wink of sleep.

The next morning brought with it the usual chorus of songbirds in the trees.

Unfortunately, the jovial outdoors did little to lift the underlying fear Zelda felt.

The malice hasn't been completely taken care of. It's still here. She thought to herself as she lay wearily in her bed.

The sun tried desperately to raise her spirits. It poured through the window and filled the room with morning glory. However, it's attempts were in vain; Zelda still remained cocooned in her sheets.

She'd been like this since the commotion last night, and it had rattled her greatly.

Not to mention she was still incredibly tired, given she'd been too scared to close her eyes again, for fear of more nightmares.

Suddenly, there was a light knock on her door, and Link's familiar figure walked in, he was wearing his Hylian hood and regular trousers. He held a little plate in his hands.

"Hi there..." He said tentatively. "I got you some cornbread from breakfast. You feelin' any better?"

Zelda gently sat up in bed, leaning against the headboard and rubbing her sore eyes.

"Thanks..." She muttered unenthusiastically, taking the plate from his hands and taking a minuscule bite of food. Link pulled up a nearby stool and sat next to her.

"I was thinking after you finish we could head back to the lab and see what Purah says." He began.

"She told me before we left last night that she thinks the malice might have a plan up its...I'd say sleeve but it doesn't have much of a sleeve, does it?" He chuckled, trying to lighten the mood a bit.

"I guess so. I just wonder what." Zelda replied, taking another bite, a slightly bigger one this time.

"Revenge?" Link proposed.

"Maybe..." Zelda mumbled

The room grew quiet for a few moments, before Link got up from his stool.

"Right, I'm gonna go get ready. You finish up and I'll check in on you in around half an hour. Sound good?" He asked, making his way to the door.

The princess smiled, and gave a wan nod.

Link smiled back, then headed out the door.

Once it clicked shut, the princess finally got out of bed and trudged over to the bathroom to wash up.

Within an hour, the duo were on their way to the lab. All the while, Zelda rarely looked up from the ground; she was more focused on kicking the stray pebbles on the pathway.

Once they'd finally reached the door, they were greeted by Symin, who swiftly ushered them inside and called to Purah and Robbie that they were there.

The two scientists came rushing down the stairs and Robbie carried an odd looking crate under his arm.

"Princess, I'm gonna need the slate from you." Purah said, outstretching her little hand as soon as she'd reached them.

Zelda raised an eyebrow.

"How come?" She asked.

"I've decided we need to tell my sister about this. I fear that this is no small threat."
