Carter's pov-
" Are you sure you want to do this?" he asked uneasily.
" I'm sure, just do it." With that he took my nose and snapped it back into place. I let out a small whine of pain as the sound of my bone cracking back into place filled the room.
" Shit, you took that like a champ. I think I'd be crying by now." Casper said, giving my hand a gentle squeeze. He used one hand to fix my nose and the other was holding mine in support. Miles was still peacefully asleep in his crib. I swear the kid could sleep through a tornado.
I gave him a weak smile, " I know you just did me a favor but fuck you. That shit hurt." I complained playfully. A smile broke out on his face, " Sorry, if I had something to give you for pain I would've given it to you." he said with a sympathetic look but I waved it off, " Don't worry about it. It's nowhere near as bad as giving birth." I joked. I was surprised at how easily I found it to joke around with him. It felt nice to not be so on guard. I really think I can trust Casper. Don't get me wrong, I still have my guard up but maybe I can lower it just a bit.
" He really didn't mean to hit you, you know." he said quietly.
I nodded, " I know, I was just upset and needed space." I said and he gave me a look of understanding.
" Does your head feel alright? You lost a lot of blood." he said, a look of worry on his face.
" I'm okay." I lied. My head was fucking killing me and I was dizzy but he didn't need to worry about that.
He nodded and took a step back, giving me room to jump off the sink. I tried to do it carefully since my foot was still injured. As soon as my feet hit the ground my knees gave out and the dizziness took over as I fell to the floor. Casper was able to snake an arm around my waist before I hit the ground.
" Next time just tell me you don't feel good. You could've hit your head again, which is probably the last thing you need." he said, helping me support my body. He helped me walk to my bed before I took a seat. He crouched down so we were eye to eye, " What hurts?" he asked.
" My head." I answered.
He let out a small sigh, " Wait here." he said before hurrying out of the room. About five minutes later he came back with a tray. He set it down on the bed.
" Here, these should help with the headache, but I doubt they'll do much for your nose." he said, handing me two little red pills and a glass of water. I didn't bother arguing, I was desperate to get rid of this headache. I took the pills and drank the water.
" I also brought you some food since you haven't had anything to eat." he said, handing me a bowl of fruit salad, and a plate of chicken and mashed potatoes. " I wasn't sure if you'd like the chicken so I grabbed a bowl of fruit in case," he said.
I smiled at the kind gesture, " Thank you."
" Would you like to watch a movie with me? I was going to watch 1922." he asked. I have no idea what movie that is but I agreed regardless. He did warn me it's a horror film but I didn't care. I haven't seen too many movies so I was willing to try anything.
We got settled on the couch and he put the movie on. He made sure to keep the volume low, as to not wake Miles.
I was about to start eating the fruit bowl when I felt a pang of fear.
" Did you just fucking eat that apple?!" Chris shouted at me as he smacked me across the face.
" I'm sorry, I thought it'd be okay." You know, considering the fact you handed me the apple.
