1 year after Fallen Kingdom:
Unknown P.O.V: Mantah Corp Cargo Ship, Laconia. Savannah Harbour, Georgia.
I look over to my friend up near the cargo doors. I can see that she is really anxious and is almost shitting herself. Must be the heavy breathing coming from down below. The big bastard just wouldn't go down. But he did....... eventually. Now Morgan has the worst job of making sure that the bastard stays asleep. Almost fell sorry for her.....almost. I walk over to her as she tapping his foot. She is clenching her tranq rifle. "Having fun?" I ask her as she glares at me as I approach.
"I have to shoot that thing down there every four hours. It's big, and mad. 'Fun', is not what I would consider when you have my job." Morgan says to me as I laugh. "Shouldn't have volunteered then." I joke and Morgan just snorts. "The boss told me to do it. He doesn't want to take any chances with this guy. He doesn't want a repeat of San Diego." She says to me as I nod in understanding. "Can't believe that he is our boss now." I say as I sit beside Morgan. The breath in the cargo gets louder, I understand now why Morgan is terrified. "He is young but he is managing. I don't how he got us out of the company's debt or how we are still in business. But as long I can put food on my table. I don't give a shit who is in charge." Morgan says which I just nod too.
Morgan's watch goes off as we both look at it. Morgan sighs and loads a tranq into her rifle. "Wanna help?" She asks as I just shrug. "What's the worst that could happen?" I ask sarcastically as she glares at me. Morgan waves to the cargo doorman who waves back. A loud alarm rings out as one of the doors open slightly. Morgan makes her way over as she heads down the stairs. "Why can't you shoot it from here?" I ask as I follow her. "His skin is too thick, I have to shoot it from close range." She says as she walks down the stairs. I shake my head and follow her down.
The loud breathing is echoing in the cargo hold. I can just see the massive, scarred frame and shape of the only occupant in the hold. I see the long snout and pointed ivory teeth. The single massive arm with giant claws, twitching. The towering sail makes the already enormous animal look even bigger. The tail is curled around the specialised cage. "Magnificent, isn't he?" Morgan asks me as I gaze at the animal. I only saw it once when it was being loaded into the hold and it looked huge, even from a distance. "Yes.....he is." I say as Morgan points her rifle and fires into the thick, scarred neck of the animal. A low grunt of discomfort and a shake of its head and the animal drops back into a lumber sleep.
"Hey, dumbasses!" A loud voice sounds off from the deck. We look up to see the deckhand looking down at us. "Captain said that we have arrived in Savannah. Get your asses up here so we can load him out!" He shouts as we scurry to the deck. We look around and see nearly all hands on deck. A cargo chopper on the shore is flying over to us. I look out and see the convoy and massive specialised container that the animal will be housed and transported in. "Come on...we got work to do." Morgan says as she slaps me on the back. I see her walk off as I get a call from my phone. I see who is calling and I smile. I answer as I find a secluded place to talk. "Hey, honey." I say lovingly
"Hi, sweetie. How's your day going?" A woman's voice sounds over the line. "I'm doing alright. We just arrived in Savannah and they are moving the big guy out." I say over. I hear a sigh. "Why are they doing that? For what purpose?" She sounds upset. Understandable, considering. "'Lanta..." I say softly and I hear a sniffle. "I'm sorry.....Mama has been uneasy for the past few days. Ever since the news of what's coming." I nod in understanding. My mother in law has some dark demons. Especially when it comes to things like the big guy....and worse. I still remember the day when Atlanta told me of her mother's experiences. That was the day, I found out that I equally respect and fear my mother in law. "I wish I was there. I wish I could be there with you guys. I'm sorry." I say to her. "Don't worry, it's ok." She says to me as I smile.
