Unknown Dino P.O.V: Dixie National Park, Utah: Night-time:
The air was fresh in these woods. The trees swayed with peaceful grace, the grass was soft and the call of many animals sounded around. I passed through an open field, I sniff the air and trace a scent. Smells like one of those strange horned ones. Unlike the ones back home, these ones aren't strong and fierce but fast and skittish. But the hunt is always fun with these ones. I walk forward, following the scent and I see a herd of these strange ones. I stalk closer, trying to hide my large frame but the big one at the front sees me, I roar at the herd and run, watching them run on fear always exicted me, ambushing is no fun, but chasing and catching.....no better feeling.
I chase the herd as they divert away in fear, a lone horn-less one panics and breaks away from the group, I roar in glee, the safety of numbers is thrown away because of fear. I can almost taste the succulent fear that it is giving off. I run closer and level my head and horns against the back legs of the horn-less one, I rear my head back and trip the animal, sending it flying across the grass, I couldn't slow down and I accidentally stepped on the animal as it was falling back down, a crack of bone signals the end of its life.
I turn back to my dead prey, smiling at my hard earned dinner. So good. I reach down and go to tear a piece of meat but a low loan of sadness gets my attention. I look up and see the strange horned one and it's herd looking at me. I snarl in anger and roar at them. The herd runs away as I snort in amusement. I turn back to the corpse and start devouring it's flesh. So juicy but unfulfilling, not enough meat on it. I hear something that sounds like some of the noises that two legs made. I hear it off to my right and I follow and catch a scent of smoke and.....something foul. I walk through the trees and see a group of five two legs talking on one of their strange moving objects. They smell and look young but the foul smell is messing up my nose. I hear them make strange sounds before getting in e object and leaving in it. Curiousity gets the better of me and I see the object heading towards a set of bright lights. Never seen this before, back home, the place where the two legs supposedly lived had bright lights even when the Big Hunter took over, she was fierce and allowed no one to live there but her. But I haven't smelled anything that would warrant danger so maybe these bright lights aren't that bad. Worth checking out though.
P.O.V. Change: Unknown: Local Bar, Cedar City, Utah
"I'm telling you! It was huge, with horns on its head, I saw it with my own eyes!" I hear Roger, the town crazy, as I sat at the bar, beer in hand. "Shut up, you saw nothing. Like last week, you said you saw Bigfoot, and now you say you are seeing a giant demon? Lay off the drink old man." One of the youngsters say. The group of five, three guys and two girls, have been coming here for the last few weeks. Somedays they are fine and others......not so much.
"I'm trying the truth! It was huge, with red skin that was burnt and with sharp teeth. I drew a picture." Roger says as he holds up a wonky drawn picture of what he claimed to see. "Ha, you got to get a phone and take a photo, you ain't convincing anyone with that shit." One of the other guys says that as he shoves Roger into one of the booths. The guys are laughing and the girls are giggling. "Hmm-hmm." Someone clears their throat to me as I see the bartender, Peter, looking at me while nodding to the group. "What?" I ask as I take a drink. "You know that he can't help or defend himself." Peter says to me as I shrug. "Can't fight his battles for him." I say, non chalant. "And your also paid to get rid of those who distrubing the peace of the bar." He says smartly to me as I glare at him. "I'm a bouncer." I say sarcastically as he smiles. "Exactly. So bounce them out of here." He says as he nods to group who are now pushing Roger around while one of the girls records. I sigh and chug down the rest of my beer.
