Mortal Kombat X fan fic (book two)

Telepath: Takeda Takahashi

(Takeda, Cassie, Jacqui, and Kung Jin are in there cells talking to each other. Cassie tries open the door but fails and Kung Jin is just meditating.)

Jacqui: So whaddyu guys think? They gonna kill us?
Takeda: They would've done it by now.
Kung Jin: Unless Kotal Kahn's planning on having us as "guests" at the Koliseum.
Cassie: Well if they don't kill us, my mother will. Me at least.
Takeda: Tough being the general's daughter?
Cassie: You have no idea.
Kung Jin: I do. My great-whatever grandfather took down Shang Tsung. Saved Earthrealm. How often you think that comes up at family gatherings.
Cassie: That was six hundred years ago.
Kung Jin: And yet you'd think it happened yesterday.
Jacqui: No pressure there.
Cassie: I've trained all my life... can fight my out of nearly anything... But still I feel like a second rate cage.
Takeda: At least you grew up with people expecting things from you.
Jacqui: I thought you and your dad were best friends.
Takeda: Now. He was a no show for a long time.
Jacqui: I can relate.
Kung Jin: What was that like, growing up? Having an ex-revenant father?
Takeda: Jin.
Kung Jin: No, I'm asking. Couldn't have been easy.
Jacqui: He was just a bit over-protective. When I joined S-F, Mr. Cage insisted on being the one to tell my dad. He thought it'd go smoother.
Cassie: I'll never forget that day. My dad came home with a broken jaw.

(All four of them then chuckle. An Osh-Tekk guard then opens the door to the cell block.)

Takeda: All right. I got this.
Cassie: You've got what exactly?
Takeda: Trust me.

(An Osh-Tekk guard then walks down the stairs.)

Osh-Tekk guard: Away from the bars!

(He demands. They move away from the bars as he throws breed at each of them. When he gets to Takeda he looks at him. Takeda's eyes were closed and when he opened them he looked at the guard and the guard faints. Takeda grabs the Key and unlocks his cell and then unlocks Jacqui, Kung Jin, and Cassie's cells.)

Jacqui: How'd you do that?!
Takeda: I overloaded his senses. Only works at short range.
Jacqui: Being the son of a telepath has its perks.
Takeda: I didn't use to think so.

(Five Years Ago)

(Takeda walks down the street of a destroyed city looking around. As he is about to round a corner a spear hits the wall of a building right next to him. Hanzo then brings back the spear and both Hanzo and Takeda start to fight hand to hand. As Scorpion is about to punch Takeda, Takeda jumps over him and takes a sword. They both fight with there swords and when Takeda throws the sword at Hanzo he kicks him to the floor and catches the sword. He then holds the sword towards Hanzo's neck.)

Takeda: Yield.

(Hanzo smiles.)

Hanzo: Well done.

(He moves the sword away from his neck and Takeda helps him on his feet.)

Hanzo: You are now Chujin.
Takeda: You honor me, Master Hasashi.

(He then bows and with the sword in his hand and Hanzo takes it from him.)

Takeda: Now that I'm Chujin, how will I serve the clan?
Hanzo: Your future does not lie with the Shirai-Ryu.
Takeda: But... the clan's my family.
Hanzo: When I took you in, I promised your father-
Takeda: I don't have a father.
Kenshi: Yes you do. One who's proud of you. A Chujin in record time.
Takeda: You knew he was coming?! You said nothing?
Hanzo: Knowing this would be your reaction, yes.
