•Chapter 8

~Jennie~

I woke up disoriented, and with a severe headache, everything was spinning. I went back to bed while trying to remember what had happened, Flashbacks came to my mind. It must have been a dream I thought.

The door opens quickly and Lisa walks through it with a tray containing food.

"Hi, I'm glad you woke up." She came to me sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Why did I pass out?" I ask while I get up from the bed and my legs tremble I don't know the reason so I sat down again.

"Don't you remember?" She looked at me strangely.

"Not only do I have small memories of when we went to the forest and I had a rather strange dream to tell the truth.."

"It wasn't a dream" She interrupted suddenly "I know this is weird for you and I wish I could explain it to you in a way that you understand without alarming you" She pauses while I try to assimilate what she says and she tries to measure herself in her words "The fact is that... You are my destined partner and I have waited long for you, it is a bit confusing I know but..."

"Destined partner?" I interrupt her "I want to try to understand you, but it's difficult for me, what I'm saying is that... you're a wolf"

"More or less, I am alpha of this pack, which means that I am in charge of everything and you... my moon."

"Moon?" I ask more confused and she nods.

"You are the second in command... I want to try to explain everything to you but now the important thing is your health."

Her words were trembling and paused so that she suffered with each word. It was something inexplicable since I had just met her.

I'm confused...

"Go" I manage to utter in a small inaudible whisper "Stay away" I take steps back confused of all the wolves in the world just her.

"Don't go away... Please, don't run away from me"

"This is not possible...no" I don't know why my chest tightens with every word I say

"I swear to you that everything that happened did not.."

"Shut up, I don't want to know, just leave me alone and stay away from me, Rosé, please."

I run quickly home, while trying not to accumulate my tears trying to lower the lump in my throat and the tightness in my chest, it was impossible for me to believe that after all it was her.
