Under the last steps of the stairs, I felt the cold strain through my bare feet making all my skin goosebumps. I didn't understand why it was always cold if we were in the middle of summer.

I walked into the kitchen hugging myself on the spot.

I hadn't seen Lisa since that little argument we had in the bedroom, I wasn't feeling well when we got away too long. To be as I was before I met her, now I felt very calm and only that which she knows how to give me. It was somewhat confusing but I knew how to explain myself in reasons.

I get to the kitchen and once I'm there I drink a glass of milk. I sit on the counter to be more comfortable, I feel a heavy gaze on me, I turn in all directions but it is impossible for me to find someone.

"Luna" says someone behind me and I jump a little from fright causing it to spill a little of milk on my legs, I take some napkins that were next to me and start to clean myself. I turn in the direction of the voice to find Seulgi in a messy ponytail and a short white dress. She was barefoot just like me. "Sorry, I... I didn't mean, sorry" She lowered her head slightly, taking a step back.

"Don't worry, come here" I said softly. I still didn't understand why everyone had this intense fear of making me feel bad about something.

She approaches me fearful and doubtful, she smiles at me sideways.

"Did you come for something?" I asked giving her a soft smile.

"I only came for cookies" Points to a jar on top of the refrigerator. I nod and she walks over to it. She lowers her head to me, making a move to leave.

"Wait" I stopped her steps "Could you stay a moment? I'm not much of a talker but I don't like being alone." She turned while smiling politely.

"As you say, moon" She walked over to where I was opening the jar and smiling happily.

"My name is Jennie. I already said I don't like it." I scrunch up my nose and then take one of the cookies.

"Sorry, but alpha Lisa has never let us call you without respect" She denies and takes a cookie herself.

"Nobody told me what that alpha thing means. . the moon thing if I get it, but this isn't." I ask her.

"Alpha would be the head of the pack. It's like a boss or boss in your world" He says through clenched teeth "How is everything over there?" Sigh "I've never left these walks. Mom says it's dangerous and stuff."

"This... I don't know exactly because I practically lived locked up for most of my life" I bite my lower lip "but from what little I know it's incredible" I smile openly imagining everything.

"Everything about your stepfather must have been very difficult" She let go looking at nothing, then denies and sees me embarrassed "forgive me moon for my insolence, I am asking a lot of things" she look at me embarrassed.

"Don't worry... in a way you remember me" I shrug my shoulders "and yes, life with my stepfather was quite hard. Let's say I had no childhood, no adolescence. I didn't live with anyone and hated being isolated and alone; That's why I don't like to be..."

Lisa walks through the door interrupting the conversation with noticeable anger on her face. Which softens when she sees me. She sighs relieved.

Seulgi takes two steps back from us.

"We'll talk tomorrow moon" makes the gesture with her head and leaves.

"I've been looking for you all over the house, until your smell attracted me here. I thought..."

"What? Did you think I was gone? Well no" I cross my arms.

"I needed to apologize for this afternoon, I just didn't measure my anger" She approaches me standing between my legs hugging me around the waist. Her scent completely covered me making me inhale the sweet scent she had.

"Don't worry anymore. Besides, where do you think I can go with your team of guards keeping an eye on me?" I raise an eyebrow and she looks at me with a half smile on her face.

"Lisa.." Release slowly.

"Yes?" She fixes her brown orbs on mine and we stay like that for a long time until she looks away and she caresses my hair.

"I want to meet Yeri, but this time not as a healer but as my family member, could I?" I avoid her gaze and she grabs my cheek making me look back at her.

"Ok, in the first place, always look me in the eye, understood?" I nod "and secondly... Of course you can see her, they are family and it is obvious that they must be together, get to know each other, get along. Tomorrow I ask you to come"

"Oh! Thank you and...well, I'm also sorry about this afternoon, I know there are times when I don't measure myself either and I already realized that everything you do is for my own good."

She feels and sees me with a proud smile on her face, she takes me by the chin and brings me closer to her joining our lips in a warm kiss. Simple but tender.
