~Jennie~

Lisa had already left early in the morning. When I didn't find her beside me as usual, I figured she'd gone out.

I got up and went to the bathroom to take a shower and get ready. Once I was dressed and had done my hair, I headed to the dining room.

"Good morning," I greeted Laura and Jisoo, who were comfortably eating breakfast while chatting with each other.

"Good morning," they replied in unison, giving me warm smiles.
I took a seat across from them, and the servants immediately came over to serve me.

"Do you know where Lisa went?" her mother asked curiously.

"When I woke up this morning, she wasn't there. I guess she went out to take care of some pack business," I answered, fairly confident, as we began eating.

"Good morning, family," a deep, commanding voice echoed through the dining room where we were...

I turned around and saw Lisa's father walking toward us with a faint smile. He was dressed casually, which made his resemblance to Lisa even more noticeable.

He greeted his wife with a kiss and kissed Jisoo on the forehead.

"Good morning," we all replied together.

"Does anyone know where Lisa is? We have some matters to take care of."

I frowned.

"She woke up earlier than usual. I thought that's where she had gone."

I shook my head.

"I haven't heard anything about any business or official matters outside."
I fell into deep thought.

She hadn't told me anything. She hadn't told her mother, and certainly not her father either.

So... where could she be?

(...)

I walked along the same path as the previous night.

The afternoon was already turning into evening. Compared to the bustle of yesterday, almost nothing remained now except for a few lights that were still on.

I arrived at the lake and sat down there. Yeri says it's good to get out and reconnect with nature from time to time.

I heard footsteps behind me and smiled, thinking it was probably Lisa.

Suddenly, a pair of strong arms covered my mouth, making me scream in fear as someone dragged me down a path that led deeper into the forest.

There was no one nearby to help me.

~Lisa~

I arrived home after a long meeting.

As soon as I walked in, the first people to greet me were Mom and Jisoo. Mom was crying into a handkerchief, while Jisoo sat on one of the sofas.

"What happened? Why do you both look like that?"

I walked over to Jisoo, and she looked at me with guilt in her eyes.

"Lisa, sweetheart..." Mom approached me, but I instinctively took a step back.

"Will someone please tell me what's going on?" I asked anxiously as I tried to catch Lia's scent.

"Where is Jennie?"

They looked at me without answering, and I began to panic.

I ran to our bedroom, but she wasn't there.

I checked the bathroom-she wasn't there either.

Then I searched the closet-nothing.

I rushed upstairs to her old room and then to the library.

She wasn't there.

I couldn't smell her scent anywhere in the house.

"Mom!" I shouted.

She entered the bedroom, her eyes filled with tears.

"They took her."

She spoke the words that, until that moment, I never knew would become my greatest burden.
