"Stiles wait up!" I shouted down the corridor running up to the boy.
"Hey Theo." He said giving me a big smile.
"Hey I was wondering if you wanted to come to Melissa's later. I just thought it'd be good to talk you know, about everything." He nodded.
"That's a good idea."
"Oh and just so you know. I'm gonna invite Mason." Stiles nodded again.
"Sounds good, what time?"
"Four?"
"Four it is." Stiles smiled disappearing down the corridor. Suddenly my vision went black.
"What the fuck-"
"Guess who." I grinned spinning around as the culprit removed his hands.
"I was about to knock you the fuck out." I said and Liam laughed.
"Not the first time." He said and I let out a sigh.
"Unfortunately, you are correct." Liam laughed.
"What lessons you got?" He asked and I shrugged.
"Chemistry I think."
"Ooh bummer." I laughed brushing a bit of hair out of Liams face.
"I wish you were in there." He let out a small sigh.
"I know, me to." I pressed a kiss to the top of his head ruffling his hair a little feeling the light touch of gel on my fingers. I walked Liam to his lesson and then continued to mine. Chemistry was always such a bore and most of the kids were asleep by the end of the lesson.
"Homework is due next Monday don't forget or it'll be detention!" The class was dismissed for lunch. I planned to head for the usual table at the back of the hall where nobody sat but Liam dragged me to sit down with everyone else.
"Hey Theo." Lydia said popping a grape into her mouth. "How you feeling?"
"Uh I'm fine." I nodded and she smiled.
"Good, how's Liam?" I looked over at the boy who was talking to Mason, Scott and Corey.
"He's good." She nodded.
"Uh how are you?" I asked uncertainly.
"I'm great thanks! I've got a date tonight-"
"Woah with who!" I said smiling, Lydia blushed.
"Look I'll tell you because I know you won't tell anyone. I'm going out with Allison. Not a word or she'll cut your tongue out and feed it to the wolves." I laughed.
"Believe me I won't. She's had a crush on you for ages Lyds." Lydia looked up surprised.
"Really?"
"Yeah, since she came here I think. That's what she said anyway." Lydia looked over at Allison who blushed and turned back to her conversation with Kira.
"Interesting." Was all the strawberry blonde said putting another grape in her mouth.
"You hungry?" She asked looking at the empty space in front of me.
"No I'm fine." I said unconvincingly trying to brush her off.
"I'll get you something if you'd like?" I shook my head frantically.
"Honestly it's fine Lyds!"
"Nonsense. It's better to eat than not to, I get free stuff anyway because my mums the Principal." She grabbed my hand pulling me up and towards the food.
"Anything you'd like, swear." I looked at the options wanting to pick something just to make her happy.
"Just a sandwich would be fine."
"Ham and cheese?" I nodded and she took it from the table.
"Oh my god try this!" She picked up a pot of ice cream from the cooler.
"Best thing you'll ever have, try it!" She pulled open the tub and took a spoonful. "Try!" She pretty much forced the spoon into my mouth and some ice cream wiped over my nose.
"Shit!" I laughed as she wiped it off with her thumb. I took a moment to taste the ice cream.
"Holy shit this is good!" I said taking the pot from her hand. She got her own and opened it quickly taking a spoonful.
"Creamy heaven." She said and my mind completely went somewhere else and I burst out laughing. Lydia caught on and joined in as we headed back to the table. I saw the look on Liams face and realised how that might have looked. I glanced at Lydia who had seemed to notice too. I sat down next to Liam.
"Try this it's amazing." I said to him smiling.
"No thanks." He said putting away his lunch. My smile fell.
"Okay." I put the pot down on the table having no desire to finish it now. I actually felt quite sick. Liam got up and left without saying a word. Everyone watched him leave then all eyes flitted to me.
"What'd you think your looking at." I spat hoisting my bag over my shoulder and hitting the ice cream into the middle of the table where it splattered everywhere some of it hitting Lydia right in the face.
"Theo!" She shreiked and I just scoffed making my way to the double doors and walking out of them. I made my way to the library trying to push the look on Liams face out of my mind, he looked so hurt. I shook my head walking up the stairs to the top corner of the library and pulling out my textbooks and my headphones. I still had half an hour left of lunch, may as well study away from everyone.
Everyone says studying is boring but I actually find it quite entertaining. Normally what you're reading isn't the best but it takes up time and time is not my friend.
"Hey." Mason sat down in front of me. I pulled out my headphones.
"Stiles said you had something to ask me?"
"Oh shit right! I was thinking the three of us could sort of spend some time together tonight. I mean it's not everyday you meet someone who is going through the same thing you are." Mason nodded slowly.
"Okay... what time?"
"Four okay?" He nodded again.
"Great." I smiled.
"What's going on with you and Liam?" He asked after a moment. My smile faded and I looked back down at my textbook.
"I don't know." I said sadly, "It's just every time we're together we're just at each other's throats. One of us does something stupid, and it's usually me and it makes the other feel like shit. Mason does that make us a bad couple? I mean we have nothing in common... I just feel like all of it is forced."
"Have you spoke to Liam about this?" I shrugged.
"There's no time to. I'm either apologising for my mistakes or making new ones when we're together." I shook my head, "Mason I do love him it's just... Liam deserves better."
"Hey you shouldn't say that you and Liam are perfect-"
"We're not though are we." I looked back up at Mason and he sighed.
"Whatever you choose to do Theo." He paused, "Promise me you'll think it through first." I nodded and Mason sighed again.
"I gotta go, I'll see you at four?" I nodded again and mason got up leaving the table and walking out of the library. I put my head in my hands letting out a big sigh.
"Theo?"
