Chapter 14

Ashtrays pov
As summer had ended I was thinking a lot about school lately, y/n and I decided to go to the same school so we can see each other more

But I'm feeling a lot of different emotions, because y/n just let me know that rosie's going to be going to the same school as us and so are her friends

We only had today who prepare for the big day tomorrow, I just hope both of us could stay out of trouble and get through high school easily

Y/n's pov
I woke up a little before 7:00 this morning to get myself ready I would only have about an hour and a half to get ready, which is okay with me so I'm not worried

I told ash that Id meet him in front of the school and to not worried about how I'd get there, I only said this because my mom and stepdad were home

Before we left the house my mom made us take some stupid family photo, I think it's funny how she's putting in effort now but she never did back then

After my mom dropped off my little sister at her school we headed to my high school, I was so nervous for no reason, I've gone to school before so I don't know why I'm feeling this way

I made sure I got out before Rosie so she didn't see where I went, I was looking everywhere for ash and couldn't find him

No sooner than I said that I felt someone behind me, I slowly turned around to see him, "Hey why haven't you answered your phone, I've been calling you?" I told him kind of upset

"Oh I'm sorry I must have my phone on do not disturb" he responded with a small smile, when we walked in I could just tell this year is going to be chaotic, I just hope rosie stays out of my way

When lunchtime rolled around I found myself searching for ash again, not to mention we don't know the school that good so we were both lost

When I found him he ran up to me and handed me a bag, we sat at the nearest bench and I opened the bag, it had a whole bunch of snacks

"I took some from the store before I left this morning" he said smiling from ear to ear, we sat their eating and staring at the clouds in the sky, silently enjoying the moment

After awhile ash broke the silence "I think I wanna join a sport" I looked at him surprise because he's never been the one to join any type of sport

"Really what are you going to try out for?" It didn't take him long to answer before saying "basketball" I laughed and said "why basketball you can barely play" thinking he would laugh at it to because he always does

But instead he got mad and stopped talking "I'm sorry I didn't mean to upset you, if you really want to play I support your career" as I finished the bell rang to get back to class

He didn't say anything and got up and left, not gonna lie I felt a lot of different things, why was he acting this way, and since when does he want to play sports...

By the end of the day I still couldn't get it off my mind how he was acting. I met up with rosie and we waited for my mom, as we were waiting a familiar car pulled up infront of us

It was fez, I got so happy to see him "Hey you two want a ride?" I was gonna say yea but then I remembered how ash was acting and thought he might need some space so I politely declined

Fez drove forward and picked up ash, ash saw me but didn't say anything, just got in the car and drove off

I tried to call and text him the rest day of the day but got no response, I hope he feels better soon
