I woke very hot and flustered, hugh was wrapped around me like a glove oviously his protective instincts shinning through but i couldnt think about the shit from last nights events. Jake has his operation today and no one, not even that prick was going to get in the way of this.

Hugh nuzzled his face into my hair which was now a normal way for us to wake up these days,

"Mmm you smell so good Alex!"

"Do you think Jake will be ok Hugh?"

"Woah Alex! That was a bit sudden, of course he will be ok, he is a fighter just like his mother I know he will be fine Alex."

"I know, what am I thinking of course he will be fine."

I prayed in my head, I don't even know if the big guy in the sky is real but I would try anything to keep Jake alive, this was his lifeline his only chance to get better!

I arrived at the hospital around 10:00am I thought I should maybe check on Stan as I appreciate everything he is doing for Jake, walking through two double doors to his private room, as I walked in I felt like there was a pack of wolves staring at me from his bedside maybe this wasn't a good idea!

"Alex hi, I thought you might be with Jake but I'm glad you came!"

"I thought it was the right thing to do since your doing so much already."

"Like you even care !!!!!"

"Lexi!!" Stan looked at Lexi with a very stern face which she turned and sighed at.

"Alex this is my wife Vivian."

"Hi nice to meet you."

"yes dear you too and I'm sorry under these circumstances, I also apologise for my daughter she cares for her father a lot."

I thought to my self you mean she cares for daddy's money a lot but gulped it away even though Lexi was awful I had to give Vivian a chance she seemed lovely at first instincts.

" As I with my son, if there were any other way I would have chosen that instead but there wasn't and well Stan was very determined."

"Yes dear my husband is a silly old fool not for helping you and your son but for not thinking about his heart."

"I know I've just met you but may I speak to you outside?"

"Of course dear."

She seemed lovely enough and I had to find out what the family knew, Lexi wouldn't tell me I knew that maybe Vivian could find out his whereabouts and I could tell the police plus I don't want Stan to know yet as worrying about this as well as his op is just not fair.

I walked outside the door and Vivian followed telling the others that we were going for coffee,

"What is it dear?" She asked as we walked to the coffee machine,

"Do you know where Joey is?"

"No dear why?"

"Please if you know anything you must tell me!"

"Alex all I know is that he is a horrible boy always has been I hated him being around my girls."

I explained everything from the beginning right up to the text message I received I told her about what he made Lexi do what she did, her face told me she didn't have a clue but she agreed to keep it to herself and also dig around to find out his location and see if Lexi knew anything.

Vivian was a lovely lady, quite short with blonde curly hair and blue eyes that were so bright they sparkled. I could see where her girls got there beauty from I just couldn't understand how Lexi was a brat with a brilliant mother.

I stayed with Stan a little longer then departed to go see Jake before his op. Hugh was holding him on my arrival as I walked in he passed Jake to me, I loved the smell of my baby boy I couldn't wait until he was better so I could have him at home with me.

I was pacing back and fourth it had been 2 hours since Jake went down for his op, every thought went through my mind, will he make it? What if it doesn't work? Hugh could tell I was nervous and over thinking everything he was just about to stand when the doctor walked in,

"Hello mr and mrs Hendrix."

Him and the nurses were the only other people who knew about the marriage.

"Hello doctor is everything ok?"

"Jake is in recovery, the operation went well, he is a fighter that one!"

"That he is, what about Stan is he ok?"

"Oh yes he is fine too hopefully he will be back in his room in an hour or so."

"Oh thank you so much doctor!"

Yes thank you doctor we really do appreciate everything you have done for us."

"Mr Hendrix I've only done my job sir but thank you nether the less."

I felt like this problem had disappeared for the first time the pressure was gone, I let out a breath that I had held in and felt tears rolling down my face, happy tears for a change, it felt weird but good  Jake my baby boy will be out of this hospital and home in my arms and be honest I just can't wait.
