Too Early!

4 weeks later:-

"Please Alex stay here everything is covered at work for you."

"Hugh I'm not arguing over this on going in."

"Alex why are you being difficult?"

"I'm not, what do you want me to do just sit here and wait for you to come home it's getting on my nerves I've done nothing for 2 weeks Hugh!"

"Your suppose to rest!"

"And I will, I'll be sitting at my desk."

"I'm not happy about this."

"Thank you darling."

"You will have lunch with me so I can check to see if your ok."

"Ok darling you know I will be, you worry to much."

"Have you spoke to your mother?"

"Nope if she won't tell me what's bothering her then I don't want to talk to her!"

"Alex this stress is not good for you."

"Hugh she is hiding something I just know it."

"Just don't worry about that shit, worry about you and the baby."

Hugh was right I needed to concentrate on me and the baby instead of being stressed about mother.

Once at work Hugh walked me to my floor before going to his, Beth was welcoming as usual and didn't give me much to do, obviously Hugh had been on her back and knowing Beth she wasn't going to say no especially when her sister was involved in my kidnapping.

I knew Hugh had made sure she comes no where near me she isn't allowed in a 100 metres of me but I would of liked an explanation she could of just given the letter to Hugh and said nothing but she never she told him the truth.

But why did she?

"Beth can I have a minute?"

"Sure what is it?"

"Have you spoke to Lexi?"

"Why?"

She looked at me puzzled and I'm not surprised anybody would be!

"I just wanted to know why she didn't give Hugh the note?"

"She did give him it."

"What so ur telling me she did give him the letter?"

"Yes but she told him everything first she couldn't deal with it no more she seen how heartbroken Hugh was and knew you were the one for him, Alex she's not evil just desperate buts she's over it now."

"I'm glad she is."

"It was a mistake and she is sorry and I am sorry if you can't get over it but she does regret it she regrets all of it!"

"Look I don't care about her or what she feels I don't care if she regrets it at the end of the day she shouldn't have done it to start with and I'm so over the part she played in his sick plan I just hope you or your sister never have to go through that horrific ordeal."

"Is that all you wanted Alex?"

Why are you being so rude do you not think I am owed an apology or an explanation?"

"I agree but she can't get passed your bodyguard you know him he's your boss!"

"You know what go fuck your self, he's your boss and my fiancé and if you don't be careful he won't even be your boss!"

I stood to quickly a sharp pain went shooting up my side then another in the bottom of my back. I quickly walked back to the chair at my own desk and sat down, it was probably just a stitch or something as I was too early for anything else.

I waited for the pain to die down but it didn't go away it just kept coming back it must be those bracksten hicks mother keeps talking about she says you sometimes get them before the real contractions come.

I looked at my watch 15 mins had gone by, I was starting to sweat. SHIT! I don't think this is bracksten hicks,

"BETH!"

"Alex please let's not do this again."

"Shut up Beth and Hugh!"

"Oh shit are you ok?"

"Ssshhh just get Hugh."

I could hardly talk the pains were coming faster and much stronger, this was not what I expected at all.

"Hi could you put Mr Hendrix on, please it's Beth, no tell him I need him now, look I don't think you understand....."

"Beth give me the phone,"

Beth passed me the phone then went to get some cushions from her office couch,

"Look tell Hugh to get his ass down here now or this baby will be here before him!"

I could here the panic in her voice as she spoke to someone else then I heard Hugh's voice.

"Baby what's wrong?"

"Well I think I'm having the baby."

"Shit, al be 2 secs."

"Please hurry!"

The phone went dead and the pain was getting worse how could this be I wasn't due for a couple of months yet, this is all my fault if I had of just relaxed and stopped stressing over everything maybe he would still want to be inside me, this is all my fault.

Beth had rang the emergencies services and was on the phone as she walked back with the pillows.

"Alex how far apart are your contractions?"

"Ermmm I don't know every 4 minutes."

"Yeh she said about 4 minutes, what here! Ok ok, Alex you need to take off your underwear and lie on the floor."

"What!! Don't be stupid, here with you where the hell is Hugh!!!"

"Alex please, the paramedic says your baby will be here before them so please get on the floor!"

"Oh shit it's too early Beth he can't come yet!"

"Alex darling I don't think we have a choice."

I turned my head and see Hugh taking off his jacket and rolling up his sleeves,

"Beth go and get some towels, bring two here and put the rest on the radiator to keep them warm."

"Yes me Hendrix."

"Right darling lie on the floor your going to be fine ok, put your head on the pillows."

I lay on the floor, I felt a lot more at ease with Hugh there it wasn't enough to be calm about the situation though! My baby was coming 8 weeks early what if he doesn't survive.
