Confrontation

I couldn't believe my whole life was a lie, My mother has lied to me since the day I was born I mean George is still my father no matter what but it would have been nice to actually know about my real father before now!
Here I am sitting in Hugh's Aston Martin on my way to Stan's house with Hugh even though I'm angry with him and didn't want him to come I'm pretty glad he did!

"Alex in sorry your mother wanted it to come from her."

"Hugh I understand and I'm sorry too I hate fighting but I feel like you have betrayed me with this whole thing from the minute I wanted to see my son you were going behind my back."

"Please forgive me Alex I know it's going to be a tough day today."

"I love you Hugh and will eventually forgive you but I'm still pissed off and very angry with this whole mess!"

"Ok baby I'm right with you, there's just one thing I think you should know."

I turned and faced him he was concentrating on the road,

"What is it Hugh?"

"Have you figured out who Stan is yet."

"No I've never heard of Stan."

"But you've heard of knightly?"

"You are kidding me right?"

"No Alex, Lexi and Beth are your half sisters."

"Fuck sake this just gets worse."

"Just keep your cool ok."

"Hugh how can you say that."

"I told you today is going to be a tough day."

"Dam straight!!"

We pulled up at a big brown gated entrance with an intercom at the side. I got out the car and pushed the button a lady's voice said hello, here goes nothing!

"Hi could you open the gate please!"

"And who are you miss?"

"Oh sorry miss knightly I didn't realise it was you of course I will."

The gates started to open and I jumped back into the car obviously she thought I was Beth or Lexi I'm just glad it didn't have a camera otherwise I'd probably be arrested.

I climbed out the car when we reached the big grey stoned estate it was huge I thought mothers house was huge but this was massive. Hugh grabbed my hand and pulled me back into his arms that electric current started to surge through me I was so hungry for his touch I needed some sort of release but right now was not the time, I pulled away slowly and heard him groan,

"I know but I want this over, I want our baby better!"

"Me too let's do this."

I took a deep breath and knocked on the door I stepped back and squeezed Hugh's hand which made him kiss my knuckles releasing some of the tension.

The door opened to a plump lady,

"Hello there I'm here to see Stan knightly."

"You are not Stan's daughters."

"Erm the thing is I am but I'm not Beth or Lexi I'm his other daughter Alex."

"He never mentioned an Alex before."

"If you could just get him to come to the door I would appreciate it."

"Ok I see what I can do?"

We waited outside the door for what seemed ages but finally the door opened again and a tall-ish man around 5.9 well trimmed for being of age with dark hair and dark eyes when I seen him I saw me and I think he did too because his eyes filled up.

"Hi I'm Alexandra but people call me Alex and until today I didn't know you were my father. This news has just come to me from my mother and husband, now I understand this May be a shock for you as it is for me but I'm here for my son as at the moment he is all that matters."

"I understand Alex I didn't think I had another daughter yes your mother was pregnant when I left bit when she didn't contact me I just assumed she didn't have the baby."

"And that's fine Stan it's not important what's important is the test that my son needs you to do to see if your a blood match that's all I ask of you."

"Alex I understand this is a very sensitive time right now but I need to discuss this with my family first."

Hugh stepped forward,

"What is there to discuss?"

"Who are you except the shmuck to broke my daughters heart!"

"Stan this is my fiancé, all I ask is that you take the test please if I have to beg then I will, my baby could die please help me."

"Look ok I'll take the test but I still need to discuss this with my family."

"That's fine just remember that my son is your family too so I will leave his life in your hands."

"And if I'm not a match what then?"

"Well then it would move on to Lexi and Beth."

"Well I don't know how that will pan out."

"Look we will cross that bridge if we need to but right now I just need you on board."

"Ok Alex I'm on board it's the least I can do."

Phew that was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be and obviously I wasn't the only one judging by the shocked look on Hugh's face.

"Ok if you could meet me at the hospital tomorrow I will send you all the details."

After exchanging numbers we left, I was so exhausted but I wanted to spend some time with Jake and Hugh just the three of us, out little family.
