I was wrapped in a tartan picnic blanket in the passenger seat of the Aston Martin, I couldn't believe I was on my home! At last this ordeal was over and as soon as joey was found I could relax and concentrate on my family but until then I will be frightened to be alone, frightened to go to work and leave Hugh on a different floor, how I'm going to cope I just don't know!

I closed my eyes and rested my head against the leather seat I inhaled the clean smell of leather whilst feeling the warmth off the heaters I was comfortable that comfortable that I dozed off.

"Alex darling we are home."

I felt myself being lifted but so tired that I was in a light sleep,

"Hugh, fuck man I've been worried!"

"Ssshh I'll speak to you soon I need to get her to bed,"

"Yes of course I'll pour you a drink"

Hugh carried Alex carefully upstairs, he lay her on the bed and gently undressed her, Hugh placed a pillow under her sprained ankle and decided everything else could wait until morning.

Hugh headed back downstairs,the adrenaline was wearing off and was hitting him hard all the nights he had stayed awake not being able to sleep without her but now she was home with him he could relax,

"Here's your drink Hugh,"

"Thanks Luke."

"So did you get the bastard?"

"He wasn't there,"

"Where is he then?"

"Don't know but I'll find him, Clintons checking hospitals and we have surveillance on his home and also his family he won't be able to last long with a gash to his head!"

"How is he hurt if he wasn't there when you got there?"

"Alex hit him with a brick and escaped when I arrived no one was there just blood on the floor I thought she was dead!"

"Fuck Hugh, her and the baby are ok though?"

"Yeh I think, she's twisted her ankle but nothing serious, I'll take her to get checked out tomorrow but for now I want her to sleep!"

"Yeh dude, well I'll be off al let Lisa know everything is ok now and al see you soon ok!

"Yeh man, I'll be here all day tomorrow if you need me just ring the house."

"Ok cool and Hugh I'm glad she's home mate."

"Home sweet home!"

"I couldn't of put it better myself!"

After Luke left Hugh went and took a quick shower he also grabbed dome frozen peas to put on her swollen ankle, she looked so peaceful lying there, his beautiful angle!

Hugh wrapped the peas in a towel and rested it on her ankle, Alex twisted her face but didn't wake up, he climbed in beside her and kissed her cheek making her scrunch her nose, he was amazed by her beauty when she was sleeping so peaceful not she wasn't beautiful all the time but when she was asleep he sensed a vulnerability around her, he was so tired and knew tomorrow was new day.
