- my mood for the day and it should be yours too :D

Since the horrendous first three nights it's actually been going rather well, they've gotten into a decent schedule and Adelia sleep surprisingly well through the night, props to George for taking her on that one walk in her stroller. Honestly, Dream would've never thought of that idea, in fact, he didn't.

Over the nights he insisted George try to sleep he was busy rocking Adelia in hopes that if he did it enough it might work, spoiler alert, it never did.

But now he sits on the sofa with Adelia in his arms three weeks later, eyes no longer rubbed red raw from lack of sleep actually feeling rather awake whilst George sleeps for a little longer. Time has flown by quickly as they've adjusted into a simple routine.

It's a relatively easy routine to follow; one of them gets up with Adelia in the morning whilst the other gets sleep, then they both get up and spend some time with Adelia whether that's feeding her from her bottle or simply rocking her, then she has her nap and they watch TV and then they repeat until it's time to go to sleep. It sounds rather dull, however, Dream finds it different, refreshing even.

Besides, if he gets to spend every day for the next months or so whilst Adelia learns to support herself with George, he's not complaining.

Emerald eyes catch his own, reflecting like an echo of each other as they stare curiously at his face. They flick all around, from his eyebrows to his hair to his neck, it's as though they never stop moving.

Her little hands clasp up into a ball as she yawns, stretching her arms outwards a little in her light yellow baby-grow that Dream changed her into once he woke her up, deeming it a good colour for the day. It's sort of become a habit to dress her in different colours everyday, as though she's a little rainbow he can use to express every single beautiful colour in the world.

A smile works it's way onto his face when her eyes catch his again and a little hand wrapping around his finger with a small noise escaping her lips, sounding similar to a laugh yet Dream knows it's not that.

"Are you bored?", he questions Adelia, knowing full well she can't respond and he's more so talking to himself than to the little girl in his arms. The brunette simply stares up at him, not moving from her original position as if to tell him she doesn't actually care.

"Georgie isn't going to be up for a while so it's just me and you", he coos gently, rubbing the little hand that's clasped around his finger ever so tightly.

She stares at him again, making a small noise that sounds like a coo, as though she's cooing back at him, or making fun at his for using such a stupid voice.

"Want to go for a walk Addy?", he asks softly, shortening her name into something he thinks could become a cute nickname, "Just me and you out in the big world?", it's so soft even he can barely hear it.

He knows he's not going to get a reply, so instead he simply stands up with Adelia in his arms, placing her down gently in the stroller that sits at the end of the hallway once he makes his way to it. She stretches slightly where he lays her, letting out a small yawn as her eyes scrunch up and her forehead wrinkles.

Just as he's about to leave, he remembers the Florida heat that she hasn't yet been exposed to, her pale, soft skin probably easily burnt in the sunlight. Turning round and leaving Adelia in the stroller by the open door, he makes his way to her room quickly and picks out a cute giraffe hat that George has insisted on buying to match the soft toy.

Once he gets back, he places the hat on her head, slotting already curling wispy brunette hair into it so that it doesn't get all tangled. It looks quite sweet, especially with the baby yellow outfit pairing the two items together perfectly.

Pulling the shade down on the stroller for her, he pushes it out of the door, Adelias eyes wide open as they make their way into the street.

He only plans to take a walk to the shop nearby, buy a few snacks as prizes for him and George for doing so well these past few weeks and some milk formula then go back home.

The Florida sun beats down on his back as he takes the path towards the shop, in all honesty he probably should've put on sunscreen before he left the house. However, he had forgotten, too busy worrying about Adelia getting sunburnt to care about himself.

The shade casts across her face, blocking out the sun anyways so Dream probably didn't need to give her the hat that is currently doing nothing except making her look cute.

He rolls the pram along the pavement, passing multiple people who are out for their late morning walks. The people range through all ages, from parents with children to teenagers to young adults to adults to the elderly. It seems as though the whole neighbourhood has decided to go for a walk at the same time as him, though he's not complaining.

It's rather nice to stop and chat to people he never really spoke to before, especially those with children. He learns from these people in the short conversations they have on his way to the shop that the toddler years are going to be awful, he also hears from multiple people that Adelia is adorable and going to be a heartbreaker when she's older.

How they know that, he's unsure, after all she's only three weeks old and hasn't even had all of her jabs yet. Nonetheless he just nods his head and goes along his way, ignoring the questions he receives about his 'wife', who must be 'stunning'. He agrees to the stunning part but brushes over the idea of the 'wife' very quickly.

Thinking about it, it's really bad how people still assume someone is straight just because they have a child, after all, adoption and other methods exist.

Sighing to himself, he enters the shop, Adelias pram taking up a lot of room in each isle as he grabs various snacks for him and George who is most likely still asleep.

Lastly before he pays, he grabs the baby formula and then makes his way to the tills.

"Cash or card?", the lady at the till asks him dryly, not bothering to look up at him.

"Card please", he responds chirpily, deciding that maybe he can brighten up this persons day, after all, they seem rather upset for eleven in the morning.

The girls eyes look up at him with furrowed eyebrows after he speaks, catching on his face and then at Adelia in the pram before quickly looking back down at the till and rapidly pressing some buttons.

"It's contactless", she speaks quicker than before, confusing Dream slightly but he complies nonetheless.

His card hits the reader with a ping and a receipt comes spewing out from the till which the lady hands to him.

"Have a nice day", she smiles at him, glancing at Adelia with a look that Dream can't seem to place before commenting, "She's cute by the way, the baby", her voice is warmer this time, less hesitant which brings a smile to Dreams face.

"Thanks", he leans the push the shader back, revealing Adelia properly to the lady who still wears an unreadable expression, "Her names Adelia... Addy for short".

"That's sweet", the girl says, "How old is she?", she pauses for a moment before something seems to kick in and she interrupts Dream before he can speak, "Sorry that's intrusive, you don't have to answer if you don't want to".

It's odd behaviour, that much Dream has noticed, normally someone wouldn't think twice about asking that about a baby. However, he ignores it and answers anyway.

"Three weeks yesterday", he smiles as he responds to which the girls eyes widen before she composed herself again and speaks for one last time.

"That's very young and she's very sweet, anyway I've got a queue building up, it was nice to meet you have a nice day", she waves at him as he leaves.

She seemed nice is all Dream can think, but as he walks back home with Adelia falling asleep in the stroller he can't help but let a feeling nag at him that something wasn't quite right.
