~ CHAPTER 14 ~

I pulled away from Camilo and felt like we were being watched.

Camilo looked over towards the kitchen and saw his mother standing in the door frame, with a rainbow over top of her head. His father was standing next to her, with his arm around her waist.

"Ugh." Camilo groaned as he pulled his hands away from me and glared towards his parents, which made them quickly turn back into the kitchen. I lightly giggle as Camilo looked over to me with an annoyed look.

Camilo and I started talking more about some things and I glanced towards an area and saw my tía and tío looking at me.

They started walking towards me, when they noticed I saw them. "Hola, Y/n. Can we talk to you real quick?" I nodded at my tía as she walked back towards the stop they were both at earlier, my tío followed behind me.

"What do you need, Tía Natalia?" I looked up at her. She placed one of her hands on my shoulder.

"As you know, Y/n, you're parents left Encanto, but they didn't do it because they don't care about you, it was actually quite the opposite." She sighed before continuing, "You see, our family has had gifts for multiple generations and we didn't get them from a candle or a miracle. Our early ancestors were born with them and eventually we all got them when we were around the age of 5. To make the story short, you were gifted one of the most powerful of all our gifts, that's why we didn't want anyone to know about your power. Yes, my power and my son's are also powerful but yours can cause major damage to every reality and this world. My brother tried hiding you from people who had heard about your gift and wanted to use it for themselves. That's why you all moved here, it was one of the safest places ever and there were more magical people but the rest of your family couldn't stay, they always knew they would have to leave you here."

I looked at my tía, shocked at what she just said. Trying to take in all that information, which she had said in the span of a minute or two.

"They were always going to leave me?" That was the only thing that had stuck to me, out of everything she had said.

"They had to, Y/n. My brother told me that he wanted to find other people around the world with powers. But he needed help, so he brought the rest of your family with him, obviously he asked them and they all agreed." She said, again making me confused.

"But why wouldn't he have asked me to help him? I could've helped them." I said, tears starting to brim my eyes as I had the thought of my family not thinking about me.

"Y/n, you were the one they needed to protect. You had to stay here. That's why my brother sent me a letter that he needed me to come and watch you." She said, seeming to start to get a little frustrated.

All this information was too much for me. "I'm just gonna go outside for some fresh air." I told my tía as I walked away, not waiting for her to respond.

I was sitting outside on the ground when I heard someone sit beside me, "I'm sorry, I heard everything." It was Dolores. I looked up at her and saw that her eyes were puffy, probably from crying.

She quickly pulled me into a hug and I could hear the quiet sobs that left her mouth.

"Hey, Dolores, it's ok. I'm alright." I told her as I tried holding back my own sobs, that threatened to leave my mouth.

"Y/n, you don't have to pretend like nothing just happened." Dolores said as she pulled away from the hug.

"Dolores, trust me, I swear that I'm ok." I held her shoulders as I felt her slightly loosen up.

"If you say so, but-" She was cut off as Mariano had called her over to him.

She apologized and got up and walked over to him.

I was now sitting outside, alone. I enjoyed the view, the sunset started showing into the sky and I enjoyed how quiet it was, until I heard a certain voice calling out for me.

"Y/N! Are you out here?" I looked over to the door and saw Camilo, he saw me looking at him and walked over to me.

"Are you ok, you're out of breath." I said as he was holding onto his knees.

"I was - just - looking for you." I giggled as he was speaking between deep breathes.

"Well, here I am." 

"Yeah, I wish I would've known that before I searched the entire casita trying to find you." 

"Why did you want to find me so badly?" I smirked at him, as he sat down next to me.

"Um, well... honestly I have no idea." He said as he started scratching his head in confusion.

"You know, I was only gone for like 30 minutes." I said while laughing and I turned to the sunset.

"I know, but I just, you know, wanted to talk to you." He started playing with the grass.

I leaned down and put my head on his lap and smiled up at him, "Then talk to me, I'm listening." 

He started rambling on about some things that have happened in his life, at one point he was talking about how Bruno scared him when he was 5 and that it seemed to have traumatized him.

I obviously laughed at his stories, even though he didn't think it was funny and would glare at me each time I even suppressed a giggle.

"Why don't you tell me some things about you?" Camilo looked down at me and my smile started to falter slightly.

"Well, my favorite animal is a porcupine because they are spikey." I smiled at him and I saw that he looked annoyed.

"That wasn't what I meant when I said I wanted to know some things about you." He said as he rolled his eyes.

"Oh yeah? Then what did you mean?"

"Well, how about you answer a question for me?" He said.

"Ok, shoot." 

He smirked slightly and leaned in closer to me, "Do I make you horny, baby?" He said in a terrible attempt at a british accent. 

I started blushing, at how close our faces were and pushed his face away with one of my hands.

He started laughing at me, I quickly joined him and soon we were both laughing until we couldn't breath.

A/N: DON'T REALLY KNOW WHAT TO PUT HERE BUT HOPE YOU ENJOYED THIS CHAPTER, IT WAS KINDA JUST LIKE I NEEDED TO GET SOME INFORMATION OUT, SO SORRY IF IT DIDN'T HAVE A LOT OF PLOT.
