~ CHAPTER 23 ~

"Wait, how did you get in here?" I said, wiping my tears and looking up at Camilo.

"Your brother was walking out so I just kinda walked in." He said, looking down at me with a smile.

"And my tía let you in?" I said, and Camilo just shrugged at me.

"I don't know, I didn't look at her, I kinda just ran down the stairs." He said and I chuckled lightly and smiled up at him.

Once I thought of my tía my face instantly turned into one of fear. I shot out of Camilo's arms, accidentally hitting him in the jaw with my elbow.

I started pacing around my room, walking back and forth. Camilo just stared at me with a raised eyebrow, following me with his eyes around the room.

"What am I going to do? Mamá and papá will probably come for me. Tía's going to sell me out to the people who are trying to take my powers and hurt me. And above all that, I probably will have no where to live and I'll have to be on the run and live in the forest and-" Camilo suddenly grabbed my shoulders and shook me.

"Y/n! Listen to me! You're going to be fine. I won't let your parents come and get you. I won't let your tía sell you out and I won't let you be homeless because that is honestly one of the worst things, speaking from experience." I held in my laugh and looked up at him.

"Seriously, being homeless is one of the worst things?" I said, with a slight smirk.

"Yes! I hated it, I was homeless for a month! Can you believe that, what have you been through that was worse than that?" He finished saying and he stepped away from me.

I looked at him with a 'are you serious' face and he immediately put his mouth in a thin line and slowly backed up.

"Yeah, you're totally right, I don't think there has been anything worse that's happened to anybody that's worse than being homeless." I said with sarcasm dripping from my voice.

"Ok, you know I didn't mean it like that." He said and crossing his arms, forming a slight pout on his face.

"I know Cami, I was just messing with you." I said, booping his nose and smiling up at him. 

He wrapped his arms around my waist, which made me start blushing and I tried looking away from him so he wouldn't see me blushing.

"I love my nickname, hermosa." He said and started leaning in until I pulled out of his arms and folded my arms.

He looked at me confused as to why I pulled away from him. 

"Oh, don't give me that look. You know you should really stop playing with my feelings." He furrowed his eyebrows at me.

"What do you mean?" He said and I rolled my eyes at his comment.

"You're calling me nicknames, like hermosa, and you keep trying to kiss me and you haven't even asked if you wanted to be with me, like you know, dating." I said, starting to grow a little frustrated at the boy in front of me.

Once the information sunk in, he widened his eyes and started speaking "What? But I thought I asked you out? Wait, was that someone else? Wait! No! I didn't ask someone else, but I could've sworn I asked you." His face contorted into a confused face and looked like he was trying to concentrate. 

I crossed my arms and raised an eyebrow at him, "Oh? When did you ask me?" I said and he snapped his finger at me.

"I asked you after we rebuilt Casita and then you said yes and we never did anything after that, because... because?" He seemed like he was trying to figure out the answer for himself.

"Was it because of Laura?" I asked and he looked up at me and his face became one of disgust.

"No, I never wanted  to hang out with Laura, she always made me hang out with her." He said and stepped towards me, trying to grab my arm.

I decided to mess with him a little, since he always messes with me. "Camilo, I think we're too different to ever be a couple, I mean you still haven't formerly asked me out yet. So, you're probably not interested." I said and looked up into his eyes and he immediately had a look of panic cross his face.

"What?!? No! We're not too different and I do wanna be a couple. And I am very much interested." He said and I gave him a small pout and he took a deep breath in and then out. "Do you wanna be my girlfriend, Y/n?" He asked and I couldn't help but smile.

"Hmm, I don't know, I'll have to let you know." I said and got out of his grasp and walked away towards my bed, smirking.

"But you just told me to ask you out! And now you aren't even accepting it!" He said and started waving his arms around and following me towards my bed.

I couldn't hold in my laughter much longer, I let a small chuckle slip through my lips and he quickly turned his head towards me and glared at me.

"You were messing with me, weren't you?" He said and I just shrugged at him.

"Maybe, but that's what you get for not asking me sooner." I said and smiled at him and when I looked at him, he was smirking at me and tackled me in a hug.

"Does that mean you said yes?" He asked and I looked at him, he buried his head in my neck and cuddled into me.

"I guess." I said and he shot out of my arms and started pumping his fist in the air and jumping up and down.

"Yes! Mirabel owes me 70,000 pesos! ($18)" He stopped in midair and saw me looking at him with an annoyed look. "I mean, I'm so thankful that a wonderful woman said yes to being my girlfriend." He said, using his charm and smiling widely at me.

I just rolled my eyes and chuckled but grabbed his arm and pulled him towards me "If you try betting on our relationship again, I won't be so nice next time." I said, jokingly but he still seemed to be a little scared.

"Of course, hermosa." He looked down at his watch and checked the time. "Shit, I have to go. My family's gonna be wondering where I am, since you know, it's night time and everything." He said and started walking towards the stairs but turned around and ran and pulled me into a tight embrace.

"I'm so lucky to have you Y/n." He said and pulled me into a quick kiss and ran up the stairs.

I touched my lips and started blushing and then realization finally hit me.

Camilo Madrigal was finally mine.

A/N: HE FINALLY DID IT! I LOVE THIS CHAPTER AND DW I WANTED A CUTE CHAPTER SINCE THE LAST ONES HAVE BEEN SUPER SAD AND DRAMATIC BUT JUST A WARNING THAT THE NEXT CHAPTER WILL BE VERY LONG (15 minutes already) and I'm not even done with it lol, but I just know that some of you will be sad, so you better prepare for tomorrow. hehe, see you in the next chapter :)
