"What do you mean, I don't have a sister?" I said and my uncle looked at me with wide eyes.

"What? Your parents didn't tell you?" I looked at him with more confusion in my eyes and he sighed. "I guess I'll have to tell you the story."

"What story?"

"It happened before you were even born." He laid down on his couch and rubbed his eyes.

He pointed at the chair, across from him, to sit at. I sat down and he began.

"It was 17 years ago, your mother had your brother, Thomas, about a year earlier. I was still decently close with my family at the time. Miguel liked me the most out of all my nephews... and niece. Now, you're probably wondering who your sister is." He sighed again and looked down before speaking again. "She was about a year older than Thomas, her name was Xiomara. She looked just like your mother. She was the perfect daughter. Her power was mind control, so she was very dangerous, even at a very young age." He seemed to want to stop talking about her.

"Can you please tell me more? And what happened to her?" I said with pleading eyes.

"Fine, but you can't tell anyone about this. Even your closest friend." I nodded my head at his words and he took a deep breath in.

"She saw me traveling between time periods once because I came back with a gift for the family, since I used to give everyone gifts when I would travel. She saw something from the year, 2022, it's called an iPhone."

"What is an iPhone, is it like our phones?" I asked.

"Well, kind of, I don't really know how to explain them. But back to what I was saying, she saw something and grabbed it out of my pocket. She started playing around with it and I had no idea and neither did the rest of the family."

"Why would it matter if she took it? Besides, you said she was only two." He rubbed his eyes and stood up and grabbed something from off the desk in the corner.

He opened the box and it showed a weird flat thing. "What is that?" I asked.

"It's an iPhone, the people from that time called it an iPhone 13." I went to touch it but he quickly closed the box.

"No touching." I furrowed my brows at him.

"You still didn't answer my question, why would it matter if she took it."

"At the time, I didn't know what would happen to other people when they touched something from the past or the future."

"What happened to her?" He struggled to say the next words and seemed to keep thinking of what he was going to say.

"She disappeared, none of us knew why. All we saw was a bright light and her figure gone. We thought it was Miguel at first but when he said he hadn't done it, it made us confused. But, she did leave something behind." He pointed to the phone he showed me.

"So, you think that, whatever that is, made her disappear?" He nodded at me. "But, how did you give everyone else gifts and they didn't touch them?" He sighed and looked up at me.

"Because they never accepted the gifts. They always thought I was weird for bringing things from different timelines to them." I looked at him with sad eyes.

"I'm sorry." He gave me a sad smile.

"It's not your fault, you weren't even born yet." He chuckled slightly and got up from his seat.

"Tío, can I ask you another question?" He stopped walking from where he was and turned around.

"If it's another thing about that phone..." I stopped him mid sentence.

"No, no it's not about that." I stood up and went in front of him. "It's about my mom." His mouth went from a small smile to a frown and he looked slightly angry.

"I don't want to talk about her." He walked by me and went to the kitchen.

"But I need to know about what's going to happen, please." He was filling up water when I walked in after him.

"Why don't you ask Bruno?" He said and sat down at the table, while sipping his water.

"Bruno's the one who told me about it! But he doesn't know when it's going to happen and I need to know it from you, you're the only one who can tell me!" He snapped his eyes up at me.

"How would I be able to tell you?" I groaned and slammed my hands on the table in front of him.

"You seemed to already have known about it, or else you wouldn't have been so fidgety when I brought it up." He seemed surprised by my outburst and leaned back.

Neither of us said anything for a couple of minutes.

He opened his mouth to start talking, that was until the door got slammed open.

It was Camilo. And Dolores?

"Camilo? What are you doing here?" I walked over to them and whispered to Dolores. "You said you wouldn't tell him."

She gave me a look that said 'i'm sorry', I shook my head and looked at Camilo.

"Why are you here, Y/n? And why didn't you tell me?" He seemed a little hurt and that broke my heart. "Were you planning to leave and not tell me?"

I didn't know what to say. "She's not leaving, she's staying here so she'll be safe." I looked over at my uncle who stood up from his chair and stood behind me.

"What do you mean? I need to stop whatever's going to happen." I said and he shook his head.

"No, if you go anywhere someone will be after you. But, if you stay here, you'll be safe." I was about to keep arguing but he started pushing everyone out of his house. "Now, get going and you two." He pointed at Dolores and Camilo. "Keep an eye on her."

I rolled my eyes and opened my mouth but Camilo put his arm around my shoulder and pulled us out of the house.

"Hermosa, why didn't you tell me? I mean, I knew about the vision but why were you going to run away?" I sighed as we kept walking, Dolores was far ahead of us and seemed to be speed-walking.

"I wanted to tell you, it's just that I didn't want you to get hurt." He stopped walking and turned me to face him.

"I will always be there for you, Y/n. I don't care if I get hurt because of it, I will always want to protect you. Because, I love you." I smiled at him.

"I love you, too." I said back. He grabbed my face, lightly and pulled me in for a short and sweet kiss.

"Now, let's head back." He said and I nodded at him.

As we were walking back, I forgot almost all of my worries. But, I didn't notice something.

Someone was following us.
