༻✦༺ ༻✧༺ ༻✦༺
Rosie sat on the grass in front of the gravestone. She hummed as Thorn helped Lila with their things.
The three kids had grown to be amazing and kind young women and man. In growing up they realized that they had adapted powers from both of their clans.
Lila was crowned the goddess of the sea and justice all the while Karl gifting her the same power as her favorite uncle, Freezing. Quackity enjoyed teaching her everything he knew which involved pranks which Dream didn't seem to be too fond of.
Thorn was given the title of god of the seasons and emotions. Karl was too fond of the boy so he took him under his wing despite the whines and complaints from him, George and Sapnap saying that if Lila could be with his favorite uncle why can't he. But Karl saw something in Thorn, so he was the Sandman in training. He will never admit it but Thorn enjoyed it.
Rosie was a bit difficult. Kristin took some time in crowning her but when she did, it caught Rebeccca and Dream off guard. Their little flower was proclaimed as the goddess of love and adoration. They can only imagine what she would be in the future, all in the while of her choosing Callahan as her mentor making the Timeline extremely happy.
But at that moment, another Sunday, the siblings decided on visitingtheir grandfather. Rosie scooted closer the stone and then looked at the sky before smiling.
"Hey there grandpa." She said as Lila sat down next to her, dusting off the gravestone. "You won't believe what happened. Dad was gone for days but he was with Uncle George and Sapnap, they were looking for Uncle Wilbur and Techno but they saved them.
"OH! Mom just graduated and she's gonna be a doctor. She helps people now, but this is between us grandpa, she uses a bit of her magic-" "Are you gossiping again Rosie?" Thorn asked as he sat beside her.
"No." Rosie muttered. The other two laughed as the youngest groaned, "Do you see this gandpa? They bully me." she mumbled as they looked up the sky.
"Hope you're having fun up there though grandpa." Thorn said. Rebecca chuckled and the kids turn. "He is. You all know that." She said.
The kids stood up and said their last good byes to the grave before placing a single white rose on top of it.
They walked away giving their mother some time alone. She sighed and knelt in front of the headstone. Fixing the flowers and placing one of her own, "You see them dad?" she asked placing a hand on the writing.
Phil Crafter. Father, Husband, Protector, Grandfather. Forever with you. Life.
"I tried so hard to teach them everything you did from memory. I just wish you were there to guide me." she whispered. As she did, a crow landed on the stone.
She smiled and petted it, "You know I used to despise seeing you but now it's a gift every time I do." She muttered.
She stayed there and sighed. That was until another rose was placed on the pile. She hummed and leaned back as the crow squaked at him.
Dream laughed and nodded at the bird. "I know." He muttered. Rebecca looked at him confused but he just smiled while the crow nodded and flew away.
"What was that?" Rebecca asked. Dream smiled and kissed her cheek, "Take care of her or else I'll rise from the dead." He said.
Rebecca snickered, "Of course." She said. He chuckled and stood up and patted the headstone before offering his wife a hand.
She hummed and grabbed his hand. "Thank you." she whispered. He smiled and leaned his forehead on hers. "No need to thank me." he said.
She rolled her eyes, "I'm trying to be sweet here." She said. He laughed and she shook her head, "I promised myself that I would find you and I did. I then promised myself to make you remember, and you did. I then promised myself to be a father to our children, and I did... right?" he asked with a teasing smirk.
Rebecca laughed but nodded, wrapping her arms around his neck. "And after that I promised to take care of you, support you, love you. I won't stop doing that."
Dream watched her as she smiled at him gratefully, "I know." She said. He raised an eyebrow at her but she just smirked, "You haven't stopped since 1821..." He smirked back, "1821 Cairo. That's right. I haven't and I will love so much more."
