AVA SAT IN THE TWO SEATER STARFIGHTER, FOLLOWING THE COORDINATES OF THE BOUNTY HUNTER'S SHIP,
They followed the Slave I to the outskirts of Geonosis, into the astroid ring,
The bounty hunter noticed them and sent out seismic charges. Ava sighed, "Obi..." She called out,
"I see them. Stand by." He piloted the ship underneath the blast while dodging the chunks of astroids that scattered,
Another charge went off and they repeated before trailing behind the Slave I into a tunnel that was carved into a large astroid,
Once they came out on the other side, Ava mentally cursed when she noticed the ship was now behind them,
"This is why I hate flying." Obi-Wan growled as they began to fire on the Starfighter,
"We need to to get behind them or out of their firing range." Ava stated obviously
"And how do you suppose we do that? There's no where to hide out here." Obi-Wan responded with sass,
The wing got hit by the Slave I blasters and the cockpit shook. A missile locked onto their ship and began to chase the Starfighter throughout the asteroid field, "Now's our chance." Ava announced as they weaved and bobbed around the rocks,
"R4, prepare to jettison the spare part canisters." Obi-Wan ordered, "Fire them now!"
The storage containment at. the back of the ship opened up, letting all the spare parts they had packed out into the atmosphere. The homing missile made contact with the metal and exploded, giving them enough time to land on a large asteroid to trick the bounty hunter,
"Looks like I'm not the only one who's brilliant." Ava smiled over at the Jedi Master,
"Don't speak so soon."
Ava kept an eye on the scanner, watching as the Slave I flew past them and towards the red planet. Once they believed to be far away enough, Obi-Wan turned the ship back on and approached the planet.
"There's an unusual concentration of Federation ships over there." Obi-Wan commented as they flew down across the surface of a small community,
"The question is why." Ava muttered.
Obi-Wan landed in the canyons, far away enough to be undetected by the Federation. The two Jedis jumped out of the ship and Ava wrapped her cloak around her as the wind hit her skin.
"Ready?" Obi-Wan asked her and she nodded,
The two of them found a path leading towards the unknown territory. They made their way into what looked like a large rock structure, which had a cave leading inside. However, the architecture inside was complex. These people preferred to live in the shadows, to blend into their surrounding.
They came across a balcony and looked down. It was a factory. A droid factory.
But why would a bounty hunter leave a clone army to come to a planet that was building a droid army? What was being planned?
And why did the Jedi not know about it?
Obi-Wan and Ava continued further into the factory, before coming across some familiar faces
"We must persuade the Commerce Guild and the Corporate Alliance to sign the treaty." Count Dooku spoke.
At the sound of his voice, Obi-Wan grabbed Ava and pulled her into his chest as they hid behind a wall to keep from being seen,
"What about the senator from Naboo? Is she dead yet?" Nute Gunray questioned, "I am not signing your treaty until I have her head on my desk."
The spotted them walking past, and two two Jedi inched further away to avoid being detected,
"I am a man of my word, Viceroy." Dooku stated,
"With these new battle droids we've built for you, you'll have the finest army in the galaxy."
The group walked into another room, but luckily Obi-Wan found a balcony that was directly above the meeting, and the two Jedi could listen in without being spotted,
At a large round table, more than half a dozen representatives of different planets sat. Ava was worried about what this could mean.
The separatist movement might be bigger than they ever imagined.
They spoke of a treaty, and of an army. A war was upon them.
"The Jedi will be overwhelmed. The Republic will agree to any demands we make." Dooku stated.
Obi-Wan and Ava shared a concerned look. Ava knew there was a resistance to the Republic out there, but she didn't realise how big it was.
And if the bounty hunter, the original clone, was with them, then what side were the clones fighting for?
"We should speak to Master Yoda." Obi-Wan whispered.
The duo made it out quietly without being spotted by the enemy. They made it back to the ship and Obi-Wan attempted to contact the Council.
Ava stood off to the side, watching as Obi-Wan tried to connect to Coruscant, only for the signal to fail,
"The transmitter is working, but we're not receiving a return signal. Coruscant's too far." Obi-Wan stated,
The woman opened her mouth to speak, only to have a feeling of anger and despair rush through her. It was powerful, whatever it was.
Tears welled up in her eyes. Something terrible has happened.
She reached out to steady herself against the cliff, and Obi-Wan turned towards her, his eyebrows furrowed in concern,
"Ava? Are you alright?"
The brunette opened her mouth to speak, only to be interrupted by the sound of pain filling her head.
Obi-Wan rushed over and reached for her biceps, "Ava, what's going on?"
"Anakin." She whispered, trying to steady her entire being, "He's... something's happening. There's a disturbance."
The Jedi master nodded, "I'll contact him." He moved back towards the ship, "R4, let's try connecting with Anakin on Naboo, it's much closer." He typed in the coordinates while Ava stabilised herself,
Deep down, she had a feeling Anakin wasn't on Naboo,
"Anakin? Anakin, do you copy?" Obi-Wan spoke, "This is Obi-Wan Kenobi. Anakin?" He turned to Ava, "He's not on Naboo."
"Widen the range." Ava stated, moving over towards the Jedi Master,
His eyebrows furrowed as he stared at his screen, "That's Anakin's tracking signal, all right..." He spoke out loud, "but it's coming from Tatooine. What in the blazes is he doing there? I told him to stay on Naboo."
Anakin went home. But why?
Obi-Wan got out of the ship and stood in front of the transmitter, "Anakin, do you copy? This is Obi-Wan Kenobi. Anakin, my long-range transmitter has been knocked out. Retransmit this message to Coruscant. I have tracked the bounty hunter, Jango Fett to the droid foundries on Geonosis. The Trade Federation is to take delivery of a droid army here... and it is clear that Viceroy Gunray is behind the assassination attempts on Senator Amidala. The Commerce Guilds and the Corporate Alliance... have both pledged their armies to Count Dooku and are forming a-"
Ava gasped as droidekas appeared from the rocks. The two Jedi wielded their lightsabers as they were attacked.
She needed to concentrate on the task at hand. They were in danger, and she needed to survive this mission before figuring out the source of her shift in the Force.
