A GROUP OF THEM stealthily made their way toward the entrance to the main hanger. They were followed by about twenty Naboo guards, pilots, and troops. They stopped, and Padme used a small red laser light to signal across the plaza to Captain Panaka, Rabe and other troops and they signal back. "Once we get inside, Ava, you and your brother find a safe place to hide and stay there." Qui-Gon ordered,
Ava nodded, "Okay."
"And stay there!"
Droid troops milled about the tank-filled plaza. At the far end of the plaza, several droids began to run and fire. Naboo soldiers fired back. Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon went in front of the Skywalker siblings, revealing their lightsabers.
Ava watched in awe as they took down a few droids, slicing them in half.
A big metal door opened and Obi-Wan pushed them inside the hanger, "Find cover!" Qui-Gon ordered as they entered the ship bay and droids began shooting at them.
Ava grabbed Ani's hand and they hid behind some storage containers. They were still being shot at and Ava pushed Anakin towards a yellow cruiser, "Go!"
Ava soon followed, jumping in behind Ani. Once all the droids were killed, the surviving people gathered around Padme, "My guess is the Viceroy is in the throne room."
"I agree."
They started to head for the exit, passing the fighter that Anakin and Ava were in on the way. Anakin then stood up, "Hey! Wait for us."
"No, Annie, you stay there. Stay right where you are." Qui-Gon ordered,
"But, I..."
"Stay in that cockpit."
Just as they were about to go through the door, it opened, revealing a man in a black cape standing in the doorway. Captain Panaka, Padme, and her troops backed away while Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan stepped forward. "We'll handle this."
"We'll take the long way." Padme said, going towards a different door,
The two Jedi took their capes off and ignite their lightsabers. The man also took off his cape, revealing his black and red horned head, and taking out his red lightsaber, except both ends of the sword lit up.
At the far end of the hanger, more droids rolled in and transformed into their battle position, shooting at Padme and her troops.
Concentrating, Ava lifted one of the droids up using the Force, and sent it across the room, smashing against the wall, breaking. "Was that you?" Anakin asked.
"I believe so." She panted,
Suddenly, the ship's systems go on, and the ship begins to levitate. Ava jumped out of the ship, yet Anakin stayed.
He pressed a button and the lasers began to fire, wiping out several droids. Then the fighter left the hanger, "Anakin!" She sighed, "That boy." He was always getting into trouble,
Ava turned to watch the fight between the colored man and the Jedis. They went into another room and she followed, standing in the doorway to stay out of the fight. The three jumped onto a bridge and continued their fight.
The girl gasped as Obi-Wan was elbowed off the bridge, falling two floors. The other man was next, Qui-Gon smacking him off and following. Ava ran onto the catwalk and dropped down to the level Obi-Wan was on and helped him up. "What are you doing?! You're supposed to be inside that fighter jet!" Obi-Wan exclaimed,
"Well, Anakin took it! He probably off in space fighting with the other pilots!"
Obi-Wan growled in frustration, "Just stay out of this fight!"
The Sith Lord, followed by Qui-Gon, entered a long hallway filled with deadly rays that go on and off in a pattern that shoots down the corridor every minute or so. The Dark Lord made it down several walls of deadly rays before they closed.
Qui-Gon was one wall away from the Dark Lord while Obi-wan was five walls away. Obi-Wan paced while he waited for the rays to disappear, while Qui-Gon sat and meditated.
Ava let out a huff before closing her eyes. She jumped up, using the force to propel her up, and she grabbed onto the catwalk above her before pulling herself up. She did this multiple times until she was on the same level as the Sith Lord and the Jedis.
The wall of the deadly rays turned away, and Obi-Wan started running towards Qui-Gon and the Dark Lord. When the wall between Qui-Gon and the Sith Lord opened, Qui-Gon began fighting the Dark Lord with a ferocity Ava has never seen before.
They moved into a small area that is mostly made up of a deep hole. The electron ray gates began to close and Obi-Wan was caught one gate short from the others. He slid to a stop just before he hit the deadly electron field.
Ava ran through the gates, only making it through the second one. She watched as Qui-Gon and the Sith Lord battle around the pit. The Dark Lord caught Qui-Gon off guard by bashing the lightsaber handle into his chin, and stabbing him through the stomach.
"No!" Obi-Wan and Ava screamed as Qui-Gon tumbled to the ground.
It was impossible to kill a Jedi.
When the rays opened up, Obi-Wan ran towards his master. Ava sprinted forward, making it into the room before the Dark Lord stabbed Obi-Wan.
Using the Force, she lifted the Sith Lord into the air. His eyes widened as he watched the young girl with shock. The Dark Lord threw his lightsaber at her, and it grazed Ava's upper arm. Screaming in pain, she dropped him down the pit.
Crying, she fell to her knees, holding her injured arm. She stared at the floor as blood trickled from her nose.
"Obi-Wan promise... promise me you'll train the boy..." Ava looked over and saw Obi-Wan holding Qui-Gon in his arms, "Yes, Master."
"He is the chosen one... he will... bring balance... train him!"
