AVA WATCHED AS Obi-Wan took a sip of his drink. She walked over to him and leaned against the bar before ordering a drink, "You are not the girl I remember."

"How so?" She asked, taking a sip of her own drink before facing him,

"Well, the young Ava Skywalker I knew would never show so much skin. She was a shy, timid girl who only wanted to protect her younger brother." He answered, looking into her hazel eyes,

"I'm blending in, which is clearly something you are not good at. This assassin sees you and Anakin from a mile away, yet you can't see her. She has the ability to blend. Maybe you're not showing enough skin." She smiled, leaning closer, "It's been ten years, Obi-Wan. Of course, I'm not the same girl."

Obi-Wan and Ava sensed the presence of the assassin. When she reached the two Jedi, she raised her pistol to the back of Ava's head and was about to shoot when Obi-Wan suddenly ignited his lightsaber, turned around, and sliced off her arm. The crowd hushed instantly as the assassin cried out in pain.

Obi-Wan helped the assassin up and they began walking towards the door, "Easy..." Anakin said to the crowd, "Jedi business. Go back to your drinks."

The four left the club and Obi-Wan tossed the assassin to the ground before interrogating her, "Do you know who it was that you were trying to kill?"

"It was a senator from Naboo." She grunted.

"And who hired you?" Ava questioned,

"It was just a job."

"Who hired you? Tell us." Anakin demanded, "Tell us now!"

"It was a bounty hunter called-" She was interrupted by a dart that hit her neck. Ava looked up and spotted a person hovering on a jetpack a ways above them, clad in blue and gray armor before he flew away.

Her skin began to shift color and form to a rough green and an inhuman texture and shape. The assassin said something in a strange language that Ava didn't recognize and her head fell back as her final breath left her lungs.

Obi-Wan picked up the dart, "A toxic dart..."

THE NEXT DAY the three went to the Jedi Temple to speak to the council. They stood in the middle of the circle of seated Jedi Masters, recalling their mission,

"Track down this bounty hunter, you must, Obi-Wan," Yoda told the man that stood between the young Skywalkers,

"Most importantly, find out who he's working for." Windu added,

"What about Senator Amidala?" Obi-Wan asked, "She will still need protecting."

"Handle that, your Padawan will."

"Anakin, escort the Senator back to her home planet of Naboo. She'll be safer there. And don't use registered transport. Travel as refugees." Windu ordered,

"As the leader of the opposition, it will be very difficult to get Senator Amidala to leave the capital," Anakin commented,

"Until caught, this killer is, our judgment she must respect," Yoda said,

"Anakin, go to the Senate and ask Chancellor Palpatine to speak with her about this matter."

"And what about me, Master?" Ava asked, stepping forward, "I would like to help Obi-Wan and Anakin."

Windu and Yoda glanced at each other as if they were speaking through eye contact, "Go with Obi-Wan, you will, my young Padawan."

"But Anakin-"

"Do this alone, he must." Yoda interrupted.

Ava sighed, looking over at her brother and Obi-Wan before the three left the room.
