Carter

We were crouched behind a bush at a Walgreens we found and saw there were a bunch of walkers surrounding the front entrance.

"Let's go through the back." Lyn whispered. "No duh." Hayes whispered back. I rolled my eyes and we started to make our way to the back.

When we made it to the back, I slowly opened the door and the guys came in.

The Walgreens we were in was surprisingly bigger than any other I've been in.

"Don't split up. You'll never know when we'll need each other." Hayes warned.

We went aisle through aisle and searched, finding more stuff as we searched.

We had probably 5 aisles left and Lyn decided to wonder off.

"Lyn!" I whispered loud enough to hear. She looked back at me and gave me a look. "Where are you going?" I asked. "Gonna go get some lady stuff." She whispered and wandered off.

"Don't worry, just search the rest of the store and stuff anything into our book-bags-" We heard a loud thud echo throughout the store.

"Shit."

Lyn

I felt bad for lying to them but when I saw the chips aisle that feeling washed away. Hopefully something'll be here.

I had my walkie gripped tightly in my hand. I searched through the aisle and finally found a big bag of Doritos. I smiled to myself and stuffed it into my book-bag.

'Just my luck. Good thing too. You'd barely have any luck like this, especially now...'

I still focus on my bag of chips when I felt myself get knocked down and landed with a thud, letting my chips fall somewhere.

The walker on top of me kept trying to bite my face off. I held it up, away from my face with my left and tried to grab my weapon with my right.

Once I did, I gripped it and stabbed the walker. It fell limp and I heard more moans come from different directions.

I let the walker lay on top of me, blood falling from it's head and onto me as the herd passed by. I closed my eyes as they passed, scared if they would've sensed or seen me.

Once they passed, my mind drifted to Carter and Hayes.

"Shit." I whispered to myself. I slowly slipped the dead walker off my body and squatted stealthily.

I looked around and saw there were still walkers around.

'Where did they all come from?'

I tiptoed the way the walkers came and leant against the shelf. I looked around and saw a small little pharmacy near by.

I looked around, seeing the coast was clear.

'Wait!' I looked back, and mentally cursed at myself for my stupidity. 'Fuck, my Doritos!'

"No turning back now..." I said to myself, crying on the inside.

I quickly tiptoed over to the pharmacy. As I made my way, I stepped on a piece of broken glass. I mentally face-palmed myself and quickly made my way into the little pharmacy.

I gently closed the door behind me, and exhaled quietly.

I walked around and checked if there were any openings. And just my luck... there weren't any.
