21:00 - "group chat"

"i'm so curious about something," beomgyu seemed to have forgotten what personal space meant when he squeezed kai between his body and the arm of the couch.

kai doesn't mind. "ask away."

"since there are three of you in the relationship; do you have a group chat?" beomgyu was looking up with anticipation. "what is it called? wait, wait, wait let me guess."

kai hears taehyun sigh in the back. he was making them ramen, expecting both beomgyu and kai to set up the living room table. although kai did meet taehyun's expectations with the plates and the utensils properly arranged; beomgyu saying five words per second was unsolicited.

that's his soulmate though—the love of his life. beomgyu was a loudmouth, but he's taehyun's loudmouth.

"three musketeers!"

"that's the most horrible guess ever," kai had to comment.

"so you do have a group chat!"

"neither denying nor confirming," kai shrugged.

"sister wives," beomgyu doesn't give up.

taehyun had to step-in at that. "enough, hyung," he brought a clean pot full of ramen. beomgyu got a coaster and placed it in the center of the table before the pot could touch the wood. "will you be sleeping over? it'll be like the old days- uh, but with a plus one."

"me, the plus one," beomgyu raised his hand as if it wasn't obvious enough.

"i will, but i'll have to message my soulmates first. can i borrow a charger?"

it goes a little bit like this:

kai and taehyun joined a science fair for extra curricular points that they both want. ("and the price money." "yes, the price money, tyun.")

they plan the entire thing during their break times, only a few that they have synced, and come up with a conclusion that it's better to start doing it at taehyun's apartment during the weekend. ("our apartment!" "i keep forgetting that you live together now, hyung.")

next, kai is staying the night and is supposed to message yeonjun and soobin in advance. however, with taehyun and beomgyu taking up most of kai's time as his phone charged for hours... it left his mind.

and it went a little bit like this:

yeonjun and soobin couldn't contact him and waited until midnight. there are days when kai would stay in public libraries overtime, so they waited.

and waited, and waited, and waited.

soobin finally called beomgyu, but his best friend was already passed out on the couch with the movie playing in the background.

kai and taehyun are still fixing up the foundation of the project as beomgyu dreamed.

yeonjun called taehyun; he answered.

"well, kai isn't here right now-"

"what?!" yeonjun's worries skyrocketed. "jesus, it's one in the morning. do you know where he is?!"

taehyun was a little bit confused. didn't kai message them about the sleepover? "yeah. he's out getting the coffee we ordered for a long night."

"coffee?"

that's when taehyun started grasping the situation even better. "he didn't tell you? he's staying the night."

there was a back and forth of words—yeonjun was in distress, but the information that surfaced got him to calm down. towards the end, taehyun heard soobin from the back asking for updates, then yeonjun basically demanded taehyun to tell kai to check his phone.

he does exactly that when kai got back.

"you're fucked," taehyun said. "good luck."

he leaves kai with his phone that made several sounds as soon as he opened it.
