Davina cursed herself for losing her precious time with a prick like Draco Malfoy. She learned that time could potentially be your biggest ally and shall not be wasted.
Her body was still locked in his right arm, their gazes not leaving each other's sight. Although Malfoy decided on the spot that he couldn't continue this game anymore, since Davina's eyes told him she got bored and tired of playing.
The boy came to the conclusion that boredom is Davina Montenegro's most common feeling.
"Masturbating huh?" Malfoy scoffed amusingly. "I thought you were getting it this days with that Weasel boy."
Upon noticing the girl's eye roll, the boy realised what this meant. "Ahhh, I see, got tired of him too, I suppose. Well lucky him, he lasted longer than that Thomas guy."
"I'm quite impressed with how much you pay attention to my personal life, Malfoy." she smirked.
"That's not true, Montenegro" he mocked her, "I simply listen to Pansy's gossip every time I get the chance."
It was Davina's turn to scoff now. "Come on, dude, we all know it's you spreading the rumors."
With her arm, she pushed his away from, freeing herself from his body cage and made her way through the exit door. Malfoy followed her quickly, remembering to meet up with Pansy before departing to the carriages.
Davina made sure to keep a safe distance from him. She was aware of how people loved to talk and wouldn't wish for the new topic of discussion to include Malfoy and her.
"Hope you'll trip and snap your neck before we arrive at Hogwarts., Montenegro." snared Draco when he picked the door for his section of the train.
"Hope you kill yourself with those cigarettes." Davina said in a calm tone, not wanting to start another fight. She didn't even bother to look back at him, just continued to walk to her compartment.
"How could they kill me?" he asked, genuinely not knowing how the Muggle smokes could affect his well-being.
Davina laughed once again at his lack of information and stupidity. "Your brain amazes me!"
"Montenegro, tell me what they do!" he yelled so the girl could hear him from far away.
But Davina giggled once again and sent him a rude hand gesture in his direction. If he truly didn't had an idea about the risk of something, then maybe she needs to let him find out by himself.
She didn't get the time to open her compartment when Harry, Ron, Hermione and surprisingly Neville cracked it and were relieved to finally take sight of her. Neville on the other side, who was now face to face with Davina, blushed and looked in the other direction. If it was any other person who did this, then she would've thought they fancied her, but that wasn't the case for the shy boy. He was simply afraid of her. Not may people had her in their heart, considering she only kept a small amount of people close to her soul (as so they thought she had one).
Seeing Davina slapping a girl out of nowhere or punching a guy for calling Hermione a Mudblood was a normal sight at Hogwarts. But not for the teachers, since she got the minimum of 20 detentions just last year. McGonagall gave her enough scolding for a lifetime about her undisciplined behavior.
But by now we can all acknowledge her opinion on other people's words.
"Hi Neville," Davina smiled devilishly, "how was your summer?"
"Um- really nice, thanks for asking." Neville mumbled, trying desperately to stare into her eyes without breaking the contact.
"I expected some letters some letters from you, you know." she teased, stroking his left arm gently. "Why didn't you send any?"
This was pure torture for poor Neville Longbottom.
Harry noticed what Davina attempted to do and stepped up immediately. "Davina!" he whispered.
"What, Harry?" she said in an innocent tone, pretending like she didn't know what she was trying to accomplish.
"Me and Davina are going to leave, you can follow us from behind." Harry told to their small crowd. He turned to the giggling girl and took a hold of her arm, dragging her to the exit of the train.
"That was not funny, Davina." Harry said in a disapproving voice.
"It was actually and it would've turned hilarious if you didn't interrupt me." the girl pouted, yet still chuckling.
"You know how Neville is around people. Especially people like you."
"What do you mean people like me?" she said, a bit upset by his statement.
"I don't know, intimidating I guess?" Harry was sure that upon hearing that she was intimidating, Davina's ego and pride would burst even more than it already was.
"Oh I didn't know I frightened little boys." Actually, she was fully aware of her dominating personality, but shouldn't say it out aloud. On top of all of that, her truly terrifying side wasn't supposed to be revealed yet. "Do I frighten you, Boy-Who-Lived?" she teased, smirking and flushing him her bright white teeth.
"Not in the slightest, no." that wasn't a complete lie, but also not the complete truth. Yes, Harry felt lucky to be one of the few persons she cared about, but was aware how easy the situation could turn in the dark way if he dared to cross her - unfortunately that was an easy accomplish.
"You can't lie for Merlin's sake, Harry. Mainly to me."
"Yes I can, you big moron!"
"So you swallowed, twitched your eyebrows and looked away for nothing?" she asked, mocking his ridiculous attempt at making a perfect lie. No one could beat the Master of Lies herself.
After a few seconds of silence, Harry finally exhaled, "I can actually lie, you are just an annoying lying machine."
"Call me whatever you want, but I know you loveeee me dearly." she laughed, ruffling his hair, messing it even more than it already was.
"Oh shut up, it is you who loves me, Davina. You'll see it one day. I'll even prove it to you." Harry smirked, tilting down his head to stare deep into her hazel eyes, mixing them with his emerald ones.
Davina laughed once again, but not for the reasons Harry thought. Nagini just couldn't imagine a world where she would actually fall in love with Harry Potter, her secret sworn enemy (so secret that not even the boy knew it). First of all, she needed to find a proper human soul to even be able to like him in the slightest. Everything that was happening now between them was simply a task Nagini had to complete.
"Harry, if you weren't my best friend, you'd probably be shaking like Neville back there every time you'd see me."
Harry nodded, knowing fully well she was being right in this moment. He prayed silently to the Greater Powers to never end up on her bad side.
As the train doors opened, there was a rumble of thunder overhead. From behind Davina and Harry, Hermione bundled up Crookshanks in her cloak and Ron left his dress robes over Pigwidgeon as they left the train, heads bent and eyes narrowed against the downpour. The rain was now coming down so thick and fast that it was as though buckets of ice-cold water were being emptied repeatedly over their heads.
"Hi, Hagrid!" Harry yelled, seeing a gigantic silhouette at the far end of the platform.
"All righ', Harry?" Hagrid bellowed back, waving. "See yeh at the feast if we don' drown!"
First years traditionally reached Hogwarts Castle by sailing across the lake with Hagrid.
"Oooh, I wouldn't fancy crossing the lake in this weather," said Hermione fervently, shivering as they inched slowly along the dark platform with the rest of the crowd. A hundred horseless (but not to the snake human) carriages stood waiting for them outside the station. Harry, Ron, Davina, Hermione, and Neville - who still didn't dare to look at the scary gorgeous girl, climbed gratefully into one of them, the door shut with a snap, and a few moments later, with a great lurch, the long procession of carriages was rumbling and splashing its way up the track toward Hogwarts Castle.
