Elizabeth

I sat on the nearest stool and dialed the number that I've learned by heart now. I turned around in the stool to avoid Michael's and Alex's stares while I talked to him.

"Hey Elizabeth," Ash mumbled through the phone," Are you enjoying your stupid date?" He sounded aggrevated and tired.

"It's not stupid Irwin! I'm quite enjoying it honestly," I huffed.

"Whatever, what do you even need?"

"Stop getting so cranky dude. I was wondering if I could bring someone back to the getaway."

"If it's your date then hell to the no," he groaned. In this moment I wanted nothing more than to slap Ashton for being rude.

"Can you stop talking about my date for two seconds and actually listen to me?!" I yelled, standing up from my stool.

"Fine," he deadpanned," who do you want to bring?"

"Alex Gaskarth and possibly his band," I sighed. I turned around and he gave me thumbs up.

"You've got to be sh.itting me right now Liz. You really think I'd believe that?" he scoffed. I groaned and handed the phone to Alex, gesturing for him to start talking.

"Hey Ashton! Are you the leader or some sh.it for the Kids in the Dark," he smirked, putting the call on speaker phone.

"Holy sh.it Alex knows my name!"

We all piled into Michael's car and headed towards the getaway (with my help of course).

Much to Ashton's dismay, I decided to bring Michael along. Ashton seemed to hate him but he was a sweetheart and kept me drawn for some unknown reason.

"This looks like a prison how the fûck would you live in here?" Michael laughed. His laugh sounded like a kitten and I couldn't help but smile. It was so cute but it wasn't like Ashton's angelic one. I couldn't help but compare everything with Ashton.

As we pulled onto the gravel pathway, I could tell that Ashton was doing pull-ups on the bottom bar of the satellite tower. I didn't know why he was doing it but I was glad that he was. I could see his biceps and toned body from a mile away.

We all climbed out of the car and made our way to Ashton. I could tell that he heard us because he dropped to his feet like he was weightless.

He showed me his pearly whites while he wiped away some of sweat. He casually leaned up against one of the nearest Walls and his smile dropped when he spotted Michael and his leather jacket sitting on my shoulders.

"Hey Ashton," I smiled, waving at him. He gave me a sly smile before shoving past Michael to shake hands with Alex and his band.

Michael shrugged it off and smiled warmly at me.

"So you guys can follow me if you want a tour. It looks abandoned but we're trying to keep it in the down low. I'll show you to the rooming building," Ashton instructed, casually shaking hands with them.

As we followed him, Michael leaned towards my ear and whispered,"Does this guy hate my guts?"

"He's just a jealous fellow," I giggled. I could feel Ashton's stares as we walked together.

"So Jack and I were wondering, is it okay if we come to film a music video here? You and some of the people living here can be in it," Alex asked when the tour was done.

"Of course! But please keep the crew limited. There's people who will give us away and we don't need that to happen," Ashton agreed, scratching the back of his neck. As they continued talking business, I walked outside and sat on the grass. I heard the sound of footsteps and the grass next to me move.

"That Ashton guy and whoever started this are like heroes. I never had something like this when I went through troubles," Michael whispered. He leaned back into the grass and stared at the stars. It felt like we were in a story and that we were under a paper moon.

"That sucks. When I was going through the problems with my parents, things like these seemed like a daydream away," I agreed, leaning back into him. When I did, I heard a door slam behind us. I quickly say up, causing myself to get dizzy. I saw Ashton walk back into the building.

"Aw shît."
