Epilogue

  Elizabeth's PoV
Eighteen years have passed since the incident. I've forced my mind to move on yet I still have crippling panic attacks that stem from the fact that I believed that Ashton loved me.

He didn't.

He used me. Kidnapped me for his own amusement.

At first, i struggled to come to terms with the entire situation. The idea that my first true love that I fell hardly and deeply for so quickly destroyed me. I honestly didn't think I stood a chance at all. I was wrapped up in a federal case, I was the victim of mild psychopaths and I was left broken.

But now I live happily with my two children, Amber and Maisie, and my amazing husband who supported me through everything. My little family are the only reason as to why I am still stood here today as a strong and proud mother and wife.

Calum and I got married around five years after I was separated from the boys. He was there for  me from that night onwards and I've never felt more at home than I do when I'm with him. He is my rock, my world and one of the three most important things in my life. Actually make that four because food. Ain't nobody forgetting about food, am I right?

I was snapped out of my thoughts by the sound of pots and pans crashing upon the floor.

"Um, honey could you possibly help me?" Callum jokingly questioned from the kitchen with his adorable smirk plastered across his chubby face.

"Sure babe, is someone struggling to make pancakes?" I replied sarcastically; giggling with every word. I walked over to him and snaked my arms around his shoulders ,pulling him closer, before kissing his temple gently. "C'mon sweetie we can eat out for breakfast." I mumbled between kissed. He nodded his head and called the girls down stairs.

"Mommy, can we go to i-hop?" Maisie asked quietly. She loved the blueberry pancakes with extra whipped cream.m

"No! Mommy you said we could go to shake shack!" Amber whined from the opposite side of the back of the car.

"Girls, stop arguing, your giving me a headache." Calum moaned from the drivers seat.

"Right then, we're going to McDonald's." I decided to go there to try and prevent further whining and arguing but all I recite bed in return was a large cry from both five year olds which instantly made me and Calum regret our decision.

Once we were parked up, I began to walk inside with Amber and Maisie clinging onto my arms as we crossed to the restaurant. Calum sat with the two girls in a window booth whilst I waited in line to order the food. Even just the smell made my mouth water.

I was in a world of my own as I began to tell the cashier the order but as soon as I glanced up, I felt my heart sink and my stomach turn.

It was Ashton.

"Liz, hi..." Ashton mumbled under his breath.

"How dare you. How dare you!" I felt my fists clench and my lip tremble but I couldn't react this badly after eighteen years. I just couldn't.

"What is wrong with you, huh? What changed you so much." He retorted.

"You. You changed me Ashton Fletcher Irwin and I can't stand you. I'm happy now so leave me alone and stay the hell away from my family." I screamed across the cash register. I felt two strong arms wrap around my waist, pulling me out of the store, closely followed by my two beautiful girls.

"Papa, what wrong with mommy?" I heard Amber whimper behind my as I choked on my own breath.

"She'll be okay sweetie, don't you worry." He slowly turned to me and planted a soft, reassuring kiss on my forehead.

"Betty, don't worry, you won't ever see him again ."

But that was a lie. That was on hell of lie that I could never forget.
