Jan's POV~
That night, I took the longest shower ever. Everyone kept banging on the door, but the hot water on my back felt so good.
Finally, when Niall started threatening, I got out and wrapped a towel around me.
"Let.. Me. IN!" he banged.
"No, I'm in a towel" I answered.
"I'm BLIND!"
"Sure?"
"Very funny"
I leaned forward and wiped te fog on the mirror.
Gasping, I flew to fighting stance, turning around.
Nothing.
But I coulda sworn...
I turned and looked in the mirror-it was back. And Extenguisher. But as I looked closer...it was me. I
My fingers flew to my face, but my skin was smooth-not furry.
Was I...
"You're one of us" it said in my voice.
"NO!" I screamed clutching my towel and running out. "NO NO NO!!"
I ran to my room and slammed the door shut. I fell on my floor and started crying in my arms.
Why did my reflection show an Extenguisher?! I looked at my arms and saw my regular scarred up arms-no fur.
Hear pounding, I clutched my towel even tighter, adrenilne streaming into my veins.
I've been doing everything I can to keep the flock safe-how could I be on THEIR side?!
A soft knock cam on the door.
"Jannice, you OK?" came Liam's voice.
Tear ran down my face and I didn't answer.
"I'm coming in" I heard the door open.
"NO!" I cried, but he ignored it and sat on the bed.
"What's up?" he asked, staring at me as I lay at his feet.
I knew I could tell him, if anyone. "I saw me in the mirror...as an Extenguisher, but when I felt my skin, it was just skin. Liam?"
"HM?" he stroked my wet hair soothingly.
"If...if I ever went bad, promise me youll protect he flock...from me"
His eyes grew. "I-I promise..."
"Thank you" my voice cracked. "And you'll be the leader?"
"Sure" his face looked concerned.
"I just can't see it" I took a deep breath.
"Me neither, but whatever happens" he arose and knelt down beside me. "We'll be fine" he pecked my forehead and walked out.
Go...blimy...
GAH HE KISSED ME!
Heart fluttering, I threw on a babydool nightie and met theothers in the hall. We all held hand and squeezed, then everyone went to their rooms, except Liam.
"Its going to be ok" he wrapped me in a warm hug and I hugged him back tightly.
"Thanks"
Then we let go and went to bed.
Lily's POV~
"Lily?" Harry peered in.
"Yeah?" I sat up in my bed and stared at his face stuck through the door.
"I don't feel like leaving you...alone. We don't trust Beth yet"
"Except she makes killer cheesecake" I smiled.
"It was store-bought, I saw the box in the trash" he smiled.
I laughed. "C'mon in"
he came in, and now I saw he was carrying a pillow and blanket. "Thanks, Love"
I fwumped back down on my pillow. "I fee like we're going somewhere cold. And dangerous-but it's somewhere we have to go, to, y'know, save the world."
"Are we really going to save the world?"
"No" I answered."We're going to try-we're going to warn everyone to about a danger, which would cause everyone to die, excape 3 humans. They'll be with us, and we'll be safe-except 1 will die and 2 will fall"
"What about you and I?" he asked. "Will we be safe?"
"You will" I answered. "And i'll survive, but i'll be different-I don't know how yet."
"Lily, I'm going to do everything I can to protect you."
"Thanks, Harry" I smiled. "And vice versa. Because in so me ways, I'm stronger than you"
He laughed. "You beat me at visions, that's for sure"
"That's not what I meant, but i'll take it" I laughed. "Goodnight, Harry"
