It was 7:00 and we were back at Danielle's house to go to dinner with her parents and brother and sister for her birthday. 'I'm glad her parents let me come along.' Marie thought. "Ready?" Danielle said, snapping Marie out of her thoughts. "Oh, yes." "You okay?" Danielle said worried. "Yeah, just in my thoughts again that's all." Marie said looking at Danielle and giving her a warm smile to ease her mind. Danielle smiled back, but she knew Marie to well to let this go.
So, while in the car; her mother asked Marie, "So, how is college life?" "It is actually pretty good so far. Almost finish with my first semester." Marie said. "What are you going for again?" Her mother asked. "I want to be an accountant." "Oh good luck." She said. "Thank you." Marie said, holding on to Danielle's hand. (Her parents still don't know about us, but my parents love us together.)
We got to the restaurant and the girls went ahead in while Danielle's step-dad parked the car with Jeffery.
Marie and Danielle went to the restroom. While in there, Danielle said, "I want to tell my parents tonight... about us..." grabbing Marie's hand. "You sure your ready?" Marie said. "Yes. I love you and I see this lasting a long time. I want to make it completely official." Danielle said smiling. "During dinner?" "Yes. Its the best time." Danielle said. "Alright, lets do this babygirl." Marie kissed Danielle.
