He knew one thing: he didn't belong here, as he didn’t fit it and he could clearly see it. Yet here he was leaning against his favourite tree as he kept a watchful eye of his Captain and the second mate with the Vk’s and Auradon kids. As they told stories from around the Bonfire laughing and cheering at one another. Thinking back to when he tried to interact with them only to give up as he received many comments which were mostly negative. He tried to fit in for his Captain’s sake but it had been two long years since the barrier had come down. It was not only the students who had broad opinions of him, nope the Adults had their own too. It wasn’t the best for him, yet he put up with all the negative impacts just so he could protect the ones he cared about. Clearly he could see how Uma fitted in as well as Gil but there was just no space for him in this world. It’s no wonder his older sister was off across the world sailing as she just couldn’t stand Auradon itself or the Isle and of course CJ went with as nothing separated them too.
Harry had his own problems to work with but he knew one thing. Auradon was boring compared to the Isle, yes it had its perks of not watching your own back 24/7 but at least the Isle didn’t have rules and a care in the world. Leaning further into the tree as he watched those around the bonfire interact with one another he actually preferred the distance for once. Harry wasn’t one for rules; he managed to get around them or blatantly ignore them. Especially the weapons one. Such as, where he was told to hand his sword and Hook over to the Fairy Godmother so they could be kept in a museum. What was even worse was that the others encouraged him to hand them over. But him being Harry swore in Gaelic before saying “No” to the King of all people. Many people were shocked that he had said no and got on the defence. Harry made a deal with the king that he wouldn’t harm anyone if he kept them. However Uma and Gil ended up ripping them from Harry’s hands apologising while scolding Harry for his behaviour. The next day followed and nobody said anything as Harry walked into the cafeteria with both of his signature weapons on his person. With a furious Fairy Godmother behind him yelling at him for breaking into the Museum of History. Lets just say Harry is banned from quite a few places in Auradon and he is also the only one not attending School. He has an actual job that he continues to work for away from Auradon.
But as it's the holidays, that meant no work. Harry looked at his belt to see one of his signatures hanging attached to the belt, ‘his hook’. Chuckling at the memory, Harry moved his Isle Jacket around his sword. He wasn’t meant to have these items on School grounds as they were seen as a danger but Harry never liked rules one bit. Accurately reaching behind the tree, he picked up a backpack before slinging it over his shoulders. He replaced the empty space with his Auradon clothes. Harry was the only one to still wear his Isle clothes, he absolutely refused to wear Auradon clothes, the hat remained in the bag with a few other Isle attire. He was the only one still wearing gloves, the others had settled into the Auradon life so much that it was almost like they weren’t from the Isle.
Harry knew he was slipping away from the others, not that he was ever close with any of them bar Uma, Gil, Carlos and surprisingly Jay. The one thing Harry hated about the holidays was the fact it was his birthday soon and he wanted to return home. So he left Auradon with a letter in his place.
