Chapter 18

“True loves kiss” Audrey exclaimed, as she looked around the room at the gloom looks around the room. “What?!” Her confusion is evident in her features. Jay gulped, “Well….”. The room fell into silence. Audrey knew what he meant. However a particular voice interrupted the silence. “That’s because I’m dead luv” a strong accent from the doorway had everyone turning around. There standing in the doorway was Jonas, Desiree, Gonzo, Bonny and more importantly Harry Hook who was leaning heavily on Jonas. Killian was quick to move to help his youngest across the floor to where his lover lay. “Seems like his powers back-fired again” Harry smiled as he spoke. “You were cursed?,” Uma asked. “Aye by Diego, It was the only way to save me and all of you”. Harry answered continuing his journey to his lover, his father helping him kneel next to Diego. Gently he locked lips with Diego, it didn’t take long until a pair of arms wrapped around his neck. Diego pulled a disgruntled Harry into his chest tightly, not letting go. Laughter came from Harry when Diego clipped him over the head as he sat up pulling Harry into his chest.

“You lad are going to be grounded until you're 18!” Killian jokingly yelled at Harry. Gently kissing both of his ‘sons’ foreheads. Diego swipes at him for the kiss. Harry just smiled at his father.

“Wait, you're not 18?” Mal exclaimed as the others looked very shocked. “He didn’t tell you!” Harriett replied. Killian spoke, “Aye lass, Thomas and Harry are only 17. They turn 18 soon, well once they leave Neverland where they can age”. Harry smiled, pulling Diego to his feet before embracing his older twin who kissed his forehead clinging to him tightly. Delphine and Carlos embracing Diego. Harry quickly embraced Harriett, CJ, Anthony and Delphine before a pitter patter of two bodies crashed into Harry. He laughed, lifting his children into his arms with some help off Diego who held him in an upwards position. “Papa, we missed you and daddy. You said we could go sailing?”. “Aye I did didn’t aye, if you jump on your grandad, I will consider it”. The two jumped down, only to knock their grandad to the floor who yelled, “Harrison, you are grounded until 21 for that”. The only response out of Harry was a laugh as he slumped into Diego's waiting arms, exhaustion evident on both of their bodies. Ben was too shocked to see Harry alive that he didn’t realise Mal had Faith in her arms courtesy of Jay.

The Fairy Godmother stood in shock with the Royal parents who were looking over at the family reunion with a mix of emotions. “King Ben, yes the Kingdom of Gems would gladly accept your offer with the exception that we are to rule under our own manner and not yours” Persephone spoke elegantly as she looked Ben in the eye before she continued, “I myself and Hades are stepping down from the throne, but that doesn’t mean the throne is welcome to anyone, ignoring Adams look, the next royal will take over once they reach the age”. Many thought it meant Mal. Hades stepped next to his wife, “The throne does not belong to us two, we have just been looking after as we thought the king had died, we helped raise his children”. Mal saw the look her dad and Captain Hook shared. Realisation kicked at her as she turned to Uma who was staring at her former first-mate who was proudly smiling at Diego. 

“So who will be taking over, as I will have to go over the deal with them?” Ben asked with curiosity, his father nodding eager to find out.

Persephone smiled at Hades who nodded as he spoke, “The one who has confirmed to be on the throne once they turn a certain age. Which is in the month”. He led them on watching their reactions before his wife nudged him, he took in the impatient royals of Auradon. “Harrison Hook and Diego De Vil will be crowned to rule the Kingdom of Gems”.

All turned to look at the two only to frown to see the Hook family had disappeared; the only one remaining was Captain Hook and Thomas Hook who shared identical smirks at the confused crowd. “Who sadly will not be joining us this evening” Gil joked to enlighten the mood. “How about myself, Hades, your parents and Captain Hook go into a Private room to discuss. While the others go and rest in the lounge room”. Persephone offered. Belle however didn’t attend the meeting, instead opting to follow the younger ones to the lounge which was way bigger than hers in the castle. She watched Mal hold her daughter to her chest, Belle just didn’t want to let the little girl out of her sight.
