Present time….
Uma felt dizzy as she opened her eyes to hear birds chirping and the sky almost too clear. “You're up, here’s some water Uma, slow sips”. Gil’s calming voice directed her, leaning over her holding a bottle of water to her lips. Once her vision stopped spinning she took in all the colours around her as she smiled. Standing at the stern Diego addressed the crew, “The Captain will not be joining us this morning, he isn’t feeling the best. Please do not disturb him, we shall reach the land of Neverland by tomorrow morning. Please rest up as we anchor here. We wouldn’t want to go into uncharted waters” he shivered as he said the last part. The crew nodded in agreement going their separate ways. CJ spoke, “Food is ready. Would my mates like any soup? If so, please head down to the kitchen and see Harriett”. Cheering erupted again before Diego silenced them with a glare heading in the direction of the Captains cabin.
The Auradon Kids were still in the first-mates cabin playing a few rounds of cards Diego had in his room. Evie’s curiosity got the best of her as she looked through a photo-album that was Diego’s. She found one picture that had her stumped and it was a picture of Harry in a hospital bed with Diego taking a selfie, the two smiled despite how pale Harry looked. She smiled in thought, before the book was roughly snatched out of her hands. She found herself face-to-face with an infuriated Diego, she apologised quickly while Diego glared furiously before slamming the door on the way out. Evie felt tears slip down her eyes while Jay, Uma and Gil stormed after Diego. Doug was quick to pull her into his arms.
The three of them found the Captain's quarters with ease. The door was ajar as they heard whispering.
“D aye just feel so ill, the magic is killing me” Harry’s soft hoarse voice came out in a bare whisper. A coughing fit followed, Diego put his hand against his Captain’s forehead only to pull away at the heat coming from Harry.
“Sucks to be magic intolerant huh?” Diego joked as he dabbed at wet cloth across his lover's forehead. His lover shivering at the touch, not pulling away. As Harry was too use to it. Diego kissed his lover's forehead before continuing his task. Harry’s eyes began to shut slowly as sleep over took him but a glance to the door had him leaning against Diego pulling him close.
“We have company? “ Harry whispered into Diego’s ear.
Diego sharply turned around stalking in the direction of the door. “What part of the speech about not disturbing the Captain did you not understand?. He slammed the door well not before sharing one of his famous glares with the three strays in the corridor. Harriett came down the corridor directing them away from a very angry first-mate. She had to tell them now, so she led them into the kitchen where the other Auradon kids were sitting on one of the tables. Uma, Gil and Jay were quick to join them but they held annoyed looks on their faces.
“What happened?” Lonnie demanded as Jay wrapped an arm around her shoulders. None of them noticed Harriett standing in the corner of the room with a silent Carlos behind her out of sight after being out on deck with CJ.
“Diego happened. Ever since we met him, he has done nothing but be snarky and rude to us” Jay said, his voice laced with anger. “Jay I understand that…” Mal was interrupted by another voice, “No you don’t Mal. Jay’s right about Diego and as much as he is related to Carlos. He has been absolutely disrespectful to all of us. He is just showing that he is a villain and he hasn’t even apologised for the way he has treated us. I now understand the point Lonnie is getting across. It’s almost like the whole Hook family, Harry and Diego are against us. We can’t have our own opinions of them as they will all jump on the bandwagon while they defend Harry or insult us back. Whether it’s sarcastic or not. That's not the point. They have to realise we are not villains, we are not pawns in their games. We can take care of ourselves. For god's sake, Uma and Gil haven’t looked comfortable since Harry waltzed back up in their lives. I want to know why Harry is acting like a coward instead of telling the truth. It’s almost like the Hook family and Carlos are keeping secrets and instead lying to us. I have had enough of it and that’s why I am done with them including Carlos he can go join the liars and return to the way he was. A coward!”. Jane exclaimed, Lonnie nodded agreeing with Jane’s rant.
