The Hook Family Secret (Former Title:Harry Hook's Secrets) (BOOK ONE)

Chapter 10

“When my scouts told me, they had seen the Jolly Roger coming in. Aye never believed them, but hearing it was the famous Captain Hook it made me proud”. Harry looked up to meet the eyes of the individual, he smiled noticing Blackbeard and his crew had vanished and the crew of the individual stood on guard. 

“You do not know how much I have missed you Thomas”, the two pulled each other into a hug. Thomas tightened his grip. Ben took in the appearance of the person hugging Harry and noticed he was wearing identical clothes to Harry except it being a shade of blue. Also the fact Thomas looked very similar to Harry.

“I’m gathering your company does not know who you may be”, Thomas whispered into Harry’s ear. Harry nodded in agreement turning to those on board of his ship. “Here we are, the passage I gave you to the land you seeked. Please do not get lost as time is not on my side. Thomas here has agreed to take you all to the royal palace of the Kingdom of Gems. You will travel by Horse and wagon. You must listen to him. CJ will travel with you, if you get in any trouble. The crew will be around the docks, and I have a small message to pop on with Harriett, Anthony and Diego”. Harry explained as he smiled before dropping his features to a more serious look, “Mates listen, by the time I get back. I want the deck to be scrubbed. Whether you do it on your hands and knees I don’t care. Just get it done! Jonas you are in charge and if you take the ship on a joy ride, I will take care of you the way I punished your father!. Now get to work, rats!”. Harry’s attitude became dark as he and his group got ready to leave.

“Harry, who exactly is Thomas?” Ben’s concerned voice reached Harry. Thomas smirked before pulling his hat off to reveal dark red hair the colour of blood. Harry scoffed, “Ask him yourself, I don’t have time for this”. With that Harry’s group left in the opposite direction. Those who knew Harry well could see it was an act but to Lonnie, Jane, Doug and Ben they were convinced he had left them to defend for themselves.

Turning to the group CJ spoke, “Listen carefully, do not stare, do not make eye contact, girls do not lean on your men, you need to show your dominance, keep your hands to yourself and try to act intimidating”. She chucked an object at Evie who looked at in excitement. The object turned out to be eyeliner, she got straight to work on the boys as the girls didn’t need it. 

Walking through the streets and alleys of the pirate town in Neverland. ‘You could have dropped them off at the edge of the forest Harry rather than leaving the two-goody shoe kids in the worst part of Neverland at night’ CJ thought to herself. The smell coming from everywhere was horrible and they didn’t know what they were stepping through but it didn’t stop Jane from complaining after every step she took. Carlos held his head high walking next to Jay who had a hand on his sword as he gripped the hilt of it, hoping he wouldn’t have to use it. Mal was near the front with Evie who remained quiet with the boys taking the back row with the exception of Carlos who was in the middle after CJ insisted. Mal knows it has something to do with Diego’s status on Neverland. Thankful Diego had provided them all with swords when they received their pirate attires.

After a long walk through the grimey town, they reach a small farm where a few horses and a wagon were waiting. CJ and Thomas get up front while the others pile into the Hay stack wagon, hidden from view sitting in the middle surrounded by the Haystacks. The stars are exceptionally bright through the journey as they peak through the trees. There's the odd couple of times CJ has thrown a huge sheet over them all to cover them and has enjoyed it, especially when it is taken off to see Evie complain about her hair being out of place as she looks for confirmation of a poor Doug who is sick of the ‘Evie drama’ as Jane nicknamed.

The journey consists of lots of trees in their vision and dark skies. They all took turns in sleeping but even Uma who was used to the night watch was dozing off. Something Evie never thought she would hear while in Neverland, was the sound of birds chirping as she woke slowly. The sun peeping through the tight spots in the clouds. She smiled at Carlos who was asleep snuggled into her side, gently shaking her little brother awake. Who yawned and stretched and made himself look even more adorable. Jay smiled at the two sharing a look with Mal who proceeded to take pictures of the others before waking them. Gil didn’t want to wake his lover who snuggled further into in his arms but he knew she would kill him if everyone was awake before her, so he gently rocked Uma’s shoulder. She shot straight up reacting on instinct and if it weren’t for Gil’s arms around her waist. Lonnie would have a dagger through her throat. Not that the two would mind due to recent comments about their fellow pirate.
