The Hook Family Secret (Former Title:Harry Hook's Secrets) (BOOK ONE)

Chapter 20

Laughter came from Blackbeard’s crew. Suddenly that all changed as a sound no sailor would ever like to hear...

Upon one summer's morning, I carefully did stray

Down by the Walls of Wapping, where I met a sailor gay

Conversing with a bouncing lass, who seemed to be in pain

Saying William, when you go, I fear you will never return again

The pirates from Blackbeard's crew looked around frantically as they scrambled for their own ships, leaving the Jolly Roger crew to advance on the one who held their own Captain in his grasp. Killian smiled at the shivers racking his old enemy's frame. Stopping his tracks, his hand found Diego’s arm as he gestured behind the two Captains at the mermaid reaching for Blackbeard. Acting quickly Jay crashed into Harry’s body curling around him as Blackbeard was dragged overboard, screams followed whether positive or negative. Killian didn’t feel like sticking around, he struggled to steer the ship out of uncharted waters, Harriett helping her father as the winds picked up abruptly. Noticing that her sister and brother were struggling against the weather, CJ seemed to have more troubles than Thomas who used the mist to his advantage. 

After a rough few minutes, the three ships reached clear waters, cheering emitted on the deck of the Jolly Roger as Vk’s, Ak’s and Pirates mixed like it was normal. Diego rushed to his feet as he scrambled over to Jay who was still curled around Harry protectively. Jay sat up with the help of Anthony and Gil. Laid across his lap was Harry who seemed asleep, Diego placed his hand against his lover’s forehead frowning when he felt the warmth come from it. Shaking Harry’s shoulder he was met with eyes slowly fluttering open and a gentle smile lacing his Captain’s face. Diego pulled Harry into his chest but moving was a bad idea as Harry groaned in pain tightening his grip on Diego’s shirt, pain laced across his features which made him bite his lip. Anthony and Jay carefully slipped Harry’s long pirate coat off. Harriett and Killian’s body shielding them. With Diego’s help they managed to pull Harry’s shirt up to reveal a burn mark and his back littered in bruises. Diego made quick work to remove any magic on Harry’s body. Anthony took the first-aid kit off Uma who rushed over with it and carefully they managed to wrap Harry’s back before helping the Captain back into his shirt and coat.

With help of Killian and Diego, Harry managed to get back to his own feet, he leaned into Diego as his crew looked up at him. Killian addressed them all, “Those who wish to stay in Neverland will have to take a rowboat and make your own way back to shore, otherwise we are to sail the seas for eternity after we make a quick stop to Auradon!”. No one made a move as they stayed on the ship. Killian smirked, “Better hang on mates!” he yelled, throwing an object in the water. Tying himself to a mast pulling Harriett and Anthony close, watching CJ and Thomas ships follow the Jolly Roger in the direction of the whirlpool. Ben pulled his parents and followed the Auradon kids and Mal with the children below deck. Doug looked more seasick than normal.

Harry and Diego held their ground as they steered the ship through the whirlpool, Diego wrapping a rope around the two feeling a sense of deja vu. As he trapped Harry between himself and the wheel holding him tightly. Jay, Uma and Gil lingered nearby tied to the mast. 

All aboard the ships were blinded by a white light as the three ships surfaced. Those below deck didn’t seem harmed by the light. Mal, Ben, Evie and Doug made their way onto the deck to only gasp at the unconscious body’s on deck. Belle and Beast with the children following behind with the other Auradon kids came onto the deck. They all moved around to hear groaning as the crew made movements slowly getting back to their own feet. Jay held his head as he helped Gil and Uma to their feet feeling if he had the worse hangover. Carlos came onto deck still not feeling the greatest but he made a dash for Jay who welcomed him with open arms. 

Harriett let Anthony untie her father as she made her way to her little brother and Diego. She found the two weren’t where she had last seen them. Fear gripped her chest, it was quickly diminished by what reached her ears. Laughter made her turn around and she witnessed her brother swing his kids in a circle. The crew started singing about a drunken sailor. The tune familiar to her as Anthony whistled from behind her, “What’s this I hear my daughter is pregnant again?” Killian cheekily smiled as he pulled the two in a hug in congratulations. Watching his youngest son happily relax with his crew, he frowned remembering that he couldn’t watch them grow up due to it being Blackbeard’s fault. He moved to steer the ship into the docs of the royal harbour, 

Once the ship came to a stop. The Auradonians, as Diego nicknamed, hastily made their way off the ship. Doug was happy to be back on land as Lonnie rubbed her hand down his back in comfort. Former Captain Hook had not moved from the wheel, lost in his own thoughts. He physically jumped when CJ appeared in front of him, acting on defence he reached for his sword but a hand on his own arm made him look at Harriett who held his stare back at him. Sharing a nod with his children, he joined them on the deck looking at the non seaworthy people on the docs below them.

Ben shared a look with Mal who nodded. “I, King Ben, invite you to the castle to discuss the next course of action and a place to sleep for your kind generosity and for keeping us all safe throughout our journey. The Hook family and their crews are welcome to our kingdom anytime they want. Please no plundering, stealing or threatening anyone. We offer a roof, food and a place to socialise”. Ben suggested. He directed his question to the Hook family and crews. Before any of them could reply Harry spoke, “Your offer is politely declined by the Hook family as you so put it but the crew can answer for themselves as we actually all have our own places within Auradons Forbidden Forest”. Diego smirked. The others nodded in confirmation with Harry.

“You do know no one is allowed in the forbidden forest!” Belle exclaimed. 

“I’m sorry lass but I actually own that part of Auradon. Please read up on your history” Killian explained, ignoring the frowns. “Wait, you're him!” Adam spoke. Killian nodded, “Yea that I am brother”. Adam gasped as Killian revealed a birth mark on his arm, a royal birth mark. 

“Wait you too are brothers, so that makes me and Harry related” Ben said with confidence laced in his voice, “We are cousins?” Adam only nodded ashamed as he watched his brother and his family walk away. The crews busied themselves, some following the royal families, while Thomas, CJ and Anthony directed the ships through a golden orange portal courtesy of Diego.

Mal sighed, she would catch up with Harry some other time. She only wished he would rest, he and his family deserved it. 

Elsewhere, an individual claimed they would have their revenge on the Hook family or more importantly on Harry Hook and the Queen of Auradon. The Crocodile would be back!

Book one Complete - Another one is on the way. Hope you guys have enjoyed reading it as much as I have writing it.
I'm working on the next book but still need a title: Anybody got any ideas???
Book Two will dive deeper following Book One into a few of the characters back stories e.g. Harry's kids + Thomas Hook
Plus few more characters to add: Here is an insight - Uma's brother and Evie's forgotten memories - I am sticking with original characters plus some of my own but I am not leaving the main characters.
Any ideas welcome for what could happen to the characters in the next one or any villians return - but their will be a few old villians returning and maybe some new ones.
