“Hand over my daughter please” Ben spoke to the Crocodile. Who smiled in satisfaction as he gestured for Ben to come forward as Belle and Adam accompanied him. The three walked forward only for the Crocodile to vanish, they spun around when they found him standing next to a furious Diego who was glaring at the Crocodile despite the dagger at his throat. Faith hadn’t made a noise in the Crocodile’s arms, Mal moved forward only to get a finger tutted at her.
“What do you want?” Adam asked wearily. His wife and son on either side of him.
“A man who talks business, a deal is what I want”. He exclaimed before stroking the soft curls of the baby's head. Mal tightened her grip on Jay’s arm, all her mother instincts kicking in.
“We will make a deal, if we can get our grand-daughter back sir, please don’t harm her!”. Belle pleaded.
The Crocodile giggled, “I like that, call me sir for now on. I will make a deal but you must keep the bargain up!”. Belle and Adam nodded despite protests from everyone. The Hook family glares from the side of the room watching the exchange, listening very carefully.
“I want my son to be resurrected and I want to be part of the council in Auradon. I want to be respected. I will release the little girl in my arms as soon as I am reunited with my son”, he looked in the direction of the Hook Family as a vile smirk featured on his face. “Deal!” Adam shouted at the same time Killian said “No!”. The two fathers glared at one another.
The Crocodile giggled to himself as he spoke, “We have a deal!”. Belle gasped when the little girl was placed in her arms, she was ice-cold. Mal rushed over to her daughter only to cry out. “You never said alive?” he giggled walking over to Diego and shoving him into the wall, “resurrect my son”. “I can’t!”, “Why not?”. “Because Damian was burned to death” he gasped, ducking out of the way of the oncoming attack. The others rushed forward to help only to find a magical barrier in between Diego, Crocodile and the royals. Diego suddenly found a dagger buried in his shoulder as the Crocodile leaned over him, “Resurrect my son now!”. Diego found himself shoved to the floor, but a quick glance at the royals he noticed what was wrong. The girl wasn’t breathing. Diego made a split decision, he opened a portal and kicked the Crocodile through the portal using his powers to break the barrier behind him. He nodded at the Hooks while they jumped straight through the portal as Diego held it open enough for them all to jump through. It shut quickly leaving Anthony with Diego.
All from Auradon surrounded the royal family giving condolences to the family. Audrey, Chad, Doug, Lonnie and Jane stood in the way for any villains to get through as everyone had been dubbed what they were. Diego shoved past them all, ignoring the cries and looks. He kneeled next to Mal who looked at him with sad eyes but knowing eyes. Diego shook his head as his vision blurred. Hades and Persephone were shoved back by Fairy Godmother who didn’t realise Diego had gotten past to her. “Ben? Ben? Ben?”, “What Mal?!” Taking back by the venom in his voice as he held his daughter to his chest with his parents around him. “Pass me Faith”, “No!” he yelled at her, “It’s your fault that she’s dead”. The words leaving his mouth he instantly regretted as he saw the hurt look on her face but he didn’t let go of his daughter. Belle and Adam glared at those in the room. Mal looked down in shame but looked up when Diego shifted to kneel next to them as he croaked out, “Pass me your daughter if you want her to live”. The royals looked up at Diego who was bleeding from his neck and shoulder. The hope in their eyes was sad to see, without hesitation they quickly passed Faith to Diego. He got up moving back towards a pillar to lean on pulling the baby to his chest and focused his powers on her. Belle and Adam held their son close while Evie and Uma pushed through to hold Mal. Jay, Gil and Carlos starred in absolute disbelief at their so-called friends. Hades looked out the window knowing what was about to happen.
Wisps of power left Diego’s arms as they were directed at the baby in his arms. He was glowing, Mal felt strong arms wrap around her. She felt herself lifted into her fathers arms when he sat next to her on the ground. Those who had knowledge in magic knew what was about to happen. Pain was etched on Diego’s face as his eyes drooped in exhaustion. Carlos looked at his cousin and shoved past Chad who went for him only to meet Jay’s fist. Chad cried out, Doug helped his friend back to his feet after the force of Jay’s punch had forced him to the floor. Carlos reached his cousin to hear a baby cry, he smiled when Diego passed the baby to him. Carlos was quick to return baby Faith to Mal who cried out in happiness as Faith reached for her mother.
She finally had her baby back in her arms, sadly it didn’t last long as she was taken out of her arms by the Fairy Godmother who gave her to Belle. “Hey! Give her back” Mal cried out of instinct as Ben moved out of her reach. Hades pulled her back in fear as the Fairy Godmother held her wand at them, however she didn’t see Diego climb to his feet snatch the wand and snap it over his leg. She gasped before pulling out her actual wand pointing it at him. Diego grinned wickedly ducking when a portal opened, knocking the Fairy Godmother off guard. The Hook family came through it. Harriett and CJ holding the kids in their arms. The two hooks demanded to be down which the girls complied as they ran to Diego shouting, “Daddy!”. Two little bodies crashed into Diego’s chest, he fell back against the pillar. He hugged them back, glad they were safe. Smiling down at them as they clung to him. His eyes slowly closed and he let his body relax, smiling to himself. Carlos rushed over to his cousin with Delphine following behind him as they kneeled on either side of him. Harriett and CJ were quick to grab the kids as Carlos tried to wake his cousin, who had just given nearly all his life force to the royal's daughter.
Frantically looking around he caught Mal’s eyes. She rushed forward with Hades. The two kneeled around Diego. “Diego hang in there, keep them eyes awake. Don’t close your eyes” Carlos pleaded as Evie and Jay appeared behind him. The ember wasn’t responding to heal Diego who needed life force to survive. Killian smiled sadly at basically his other son who was dying on the floor after helping bumptious royals. “FGM, can you help?” Audrey asked from her place next to Evie as the two looked through a spell book. The Fairy Godmother shook her head. Ben walked away from his parents with his daughter in his arms watching the moment in shock. Thomas turned around only to smile at the figure leaning against the doorway grey and pale as a ghost, who also made a shushing gesture. “He’s unconscious, he won’t wake up. It’s what happens when the body has no sleep but uses magical properties. He basically took Faith’s position who was under a sleeping curse that would keep her asleep until her 16th. Diego basically broke it by reversing life energy” Evie explained, pulling Carlos close to her chest. While Jay rubbed his friends back, all of them took in the sad sight in front of them. Delphine found herself comforted by Thomas who hugged her tightly.
