An abandoned facility within the African city was still standing despite the invasion. Anytime soon, a group of Kree and Lizards would occupy the structure. Jusis Vandark and the Kree Eternal, disguised as a blue Kree-Faunus feline reached this place from the dusty and crowded streets. Vandark turned to his companion and got curious of the Kree Eternal's disguise. Then, his stomach growled as he reached into his jacket pocket for a candy bar instinctively but the pocket was empty.

" Ah, yes, that is unfortunate, " the paranormal scientist commented. " Odd choice for a disguise my friend. "

" Well, this is the only thing I have for now, " Methu-Selah said. " I found this one back in Moulin Rouge. This unfortunate person had died more than ten years ago. So, I took his persona to protect myself. Tell me, did my son do the same thing when you met him? "

Vandark stroked his chin and thought back. Recalling those days, he took care of the young Kree-Lizard hybrid wanderer back in Ukraine.

" I'm not sure, " he said. " I found him unconscious near a cursed statue in a haunted land. "

" Some years ago in Europe, right? "

Vandark chuckled cheerfully and pulled out his flashlight.

" It was a surprise, let me tell you. I certainly did not expect company in that region. Due to its spiritual weirdness, even the lizards and the Kree like you avoided the area mostly. An area rich in Mavka and Dullahan."

" Ukrainian legends, right? Did he find something from there aside from the mavka and statue? "

Vandark relaxed and smiled when he replied cheerfully, " Confidence. "

" I see...I believe my son has achieved that. "

Vandark switched off his flashlight and began to search trash cans nearby.

" Your son was also useful for my research. He helped me figure a few things out, " he nodded, looked around, and scratched his face in an agitated manner.

" So, do you mean he has been translating and rewriting some documents? "

" Yes, among other things. He is rather bright for his age, you know."

" Well, somewhat he has inherited that one from me..." Methu-Selah smiled and nodded as he sensed something was coming. Vandark was becoming more on edge and fidgeting.

" Your sixth sense is screaming at you, too? "

" My cosmic awareness rather..."

" Whatever that is, it does not seem fun. "

Vandark pulled the blue light crystal out of his flashlight and replaced it with a green one. Methu-Selah remained calm and took a deep breath when the impending trouble was coming. However, he had to reveal himself to the attacker. He illuminated his both hands with blue light and turned his head to and fro.The air became still and heavy as if it too could sense the tension. Vandark closed his eyes and focused his breathing sending a psychic wave in all directions trying to locate the source of the feeling.

" Over there..." Methu-Selah pointed at the farther side of the hallway.

A noise echoed from the location halfway between a snarl and a hiss. The sound of scratching like something was crawling on the walls in the dark echoed softly as whatever it was moved. Methu-Selah and Vandark noticed a being coming from a distance. It was a tall male African metal snake being who confronted them.
