" Truthful lips endure forever,
but a lying tongue is but for a moment. "

- Proverbs 12:19 ESV

(TWO NIGHTS AGO: MONTMARTRE RESIDENCE, Underground Triskelion Unit 302: 10:30 PM)

The stillness lingered inside the flat when the living room dim lights partly broke the darkness. Amnon remained sleepless and sat on a couch beside a well lit side table lamp shade. He was reading a 20th Century science fiction book which he borrowed from the library. It described Terran space explorers travelling into an unknown extraterrestrial spacecraft controlled by small and great machines. The blond pink Kree reached the middle chapter of the book, looked at the artificial evening view of the nation's Capital, and yawned like a lion.

" I just want to stay awake and see this fake view of this city, " he thought, placed his bookmark, and closed the book. " I'm looking forward to finishing Rendezvous with Rama this weekend, but I need to get some sleep. "

" Are you confronting yourself to stay awake or meet your slumber like we have been experiencing? " a familiar deep male voice echoed.

Amnon slowly moved his head and saw his blue skinned father in dark pajamas. He slightly smiled and softly chuckled, " We're both insomniacs, aren't we?! "

" You don't need to tell me twice, Amnon-Selah, " the Kree Eternal scoffed and smiled back, gently rubbing his son's back. " You travelled the globe and spent such sad and sleepless yesterdays. But me, I was more than that. "

" Yeah, Daddy-O. I remembered seeing you as the dirty looking Kree-Faunus man in Ethiopia. You just made me too grounded when I killed your persona. Tell me, have you been in hiding too, just like me? "

Methu-Selah rubbed his forehead and heavily sighed upon hearing his son's question. He recalled those days when he left his tumultuous and facist homeworld in the Large Magellanic Cloud after being banished by his own kind. Amnon looked concerned at his father and waited for him to answer.

" Daddy-O? Did I trigger you again? Sorry...If I..."

" No, you did not, son. There were things in the past lingering in our minds. There were times that we wanted to forget, but they became parts of your life. We learned from them in order to become better individuals. I know it's hard to grasp them at first, " his father explained.

" I agree with you, " Amnon nodded and sincerely smiled at the Kree Eternal. " You know, what? It's funny that our lives have almost similar aspects. Like you mentioned, there are different degrees and scenarios. Some say they find that too far-fetched. "

" Likewise, son. "

" Another thing, Daddy-O. A mysterious wise old man from a couple of days ago told me something. "

" A mysterious wise old man, huh? " Methu-Selah chuckled, decided not to use powers on his son, and curiously asked. " You met an Inhuman, I took it? "

" Well, I met that guy before you and mom got married, " Amnon replied and recalled. " He just told me about spending more time with you before leaving this planet and asked me to make you happy and content. Obviously, I've been doing this for more than a year, but I feel like we have known for decades or even centuries. "

" Son, you're right, " the Kree Eternal nodded in agreement.

" Daddy-O, I've understood that your time is quickly slipping away, but I'm trying my best to catch those lost times with you. I really want you to stay with me and mom a little longer. It's just that I have found my real family. I'm sorry I was a terrible pain in the ass when you met me in Ethiopia. "
