" Those who deny freedom to others, deserve it not for themselves. "

― Abraham Lincoln

(THE NEXT DAY: NEW YORK CITY, 12:30 PM)

Amnon was walking around the upper floor of the slave den building which he was spending most of his time guarding around the female slaves. He was making sure that they would never escape from the premises. Roaming around the orchard, he noticed a blonde cyborg woman who was responsible in programming his mind as the ruthless lizard. Gourai finished harvesting some oranges and carried them into a basket. She turned to the hybrid and remained silent.

" I wonder if this is really Carol's missing son? I have seen her just yesterday, " she curiously thought. " If he is, then I could have told her. He has been enslaved. It's too bad if she knew I did this on purpose..."

Amnon intently looked and followed his eyes at her, however he couldn't since he was under Kasius's control. He could not communicate nor get along with the other slaves and people like he used to. Gourai also looked and thought of talking to him, but she headed off her way to the hallway.

The Kree-Lizard guard followed her steps and curiously eyed on her. The cyborg had entered to the pantry area which she was preparing some snacks to the overlord and his guests. Amnon angrily gritted his teeth and hissed when another lizard guard called his attention by patting his shoulders.

" What do you want?! " he indignantly asked.

" You have been following that cyborg girl, 682. What a sly and naughty boy, you are? Do you even think she will ever like you at all?! " his fellow grinned and laughed. " Kasius wants to talk to you in private. "

Amnon was unamused to the lizard's humor as he grunted and glared at him. The monster 682 inside him was controlling the Kree-Lizard boy's body. The sane Amnon was helplessly watching and hearing from the outside environment which he was still stuck inside his brainwashed body.

" Then, what does he need? "

" It has something to do about your failure of executing Captain Marvel or Car-Ell. You have a lot of explaining to do. "

Amnon clenched his fists in anger when he was being reminded of his greatest failures. Then, he glared at the guard which he thought of giving him a brutal response, however the hybrid sighed.

" Let me guess, " he continued. " I might receive some electrocution or flogging from your idiotic fellows...."

" Let's see about that..." the guard grinned and aided him to the room where Kasius was cutting some grapes.

" What do you need from me? " the hybrid blandly asked.

The blue overlord smiled, signaled the lizard guard to leave the room, and calmly said, " It pertains to your mistake, 682. You have allowed Elder Car-Ell to escape my lair last night. Am I right? "

" It was just an...."

" Ah, you're making excuses, then...." Kasius laughed and took his stun gun from his drawer. " I didn't know a Kree-Lizard hybrid like you can do it. I thought you're intelligent and indestructible, but it appears to be a stupid and careless fool! "

The blue overlord used his weapon and pinned down on the hybrid's tail. The fatal lightning had stunned him as he excruciatingly yelled in pain. In those exile years, Amnon had experienced being terrorized and tortured by his detractors. Now, as a slave, he also felt the horrific pain which he could never forget. His heart was beating very fast when his whole body shook. Kasius mercilessly watched and stunned the Kree-Lizard boy.

Entering the room, Gourai widened her eyes in shock when she saw the brutal punishment of her fellow slave. She held a tray of snacks and orange juice to her master and carefully placed it on the table. The cyborg couldn't hear the loud shriek from the hybrid, but she could not tolerate to see him in such horrendous pain. It took a couple of minutes to end when Kasius ceased his punishment to Amnon. Gourai remained silent in seeing this aftermath and felt pity to the Kree-Lizard guard who fell and lied down on the floor.

" Gourai, this is how I punish those who disobeyed and failed my orders, " he sternly spoke and placed his stun gun into his drawer. " I have understood that you never want that to happen to you. Am I right? "

The blonde cyborg gulped in fear and nodded as she heard her master. She had no choice, but to follow orders in avoiding any mishaps.

" Good, " the Kree calmly smiled and turned to his minion. " As for you, 682. Moving forward, I'm going to assign you for another task. You will be working as an accuser which you will catch those insolent and kill them. Of course, you will be doing the same thing which I have done to you. "

" Yes, master...." Amnon slowly spoke and managed to stand up from his sudden electrocution.

" Just make sure, you will not fail me, this time. "

" What if I fail? "

" Simple, " he took his glass of orange juice and sipped. " You know how harsh I treat those disobedient and foolish slaves like you. "

" Feeding them to the roaches..."

" Exactly. In order for you to not to experience that mistake, I have assigned someone to guide you along the way. "

" Who? "

" You will find it out...." Kasius smiled and finished his drink when he returned to his seat. " I hope you have learned your lesson. "

" Yes, master. I will never regret this. "

" Good, " the overlord nodded.

" What do you really gain from this? "

" My father and his ancestors wanted to prove the greatest change in the history of the Kree Empire, " Kasius continued and raised his hand in interjection. Gourai was standing beside him as she could listen to her master's words. " But there's only one person who we wanted to banish aside from the Lord Supremor. "

" Then who? "

" The Kree Eternal, Methu-Selah, " he replied. " He predicted this unending onslaught that would happen on this planet several years ago. He was against it, as my ancestors and the Supreme Intelligence despised him. That foolish old man should be dead. "

" Why are you killing your own kind? "

" That man is a reckless fool and a lunatic. He is trying to make a change to the entire Kree society, but we never wanted his ideas and beliefs to happen. "

" Really? "

" Of course, that's why I asked you to kill him, if you find him. " Kasius evilly grinned. " That's my greatest order. "

" I shall give you the head of Methu-Selah, then...."

" Not only that, but I have heard rumors from Earth-men which he has a missing son. "

" Do you have an idea where's the Kree Eternal's disgusting offspring? "

Kasius intently smiled, stood-up, and looked at Amnon's humanoid green irises on his both eyes and then the blue scar on his face. He loudly laughed and crossed his arms. Amnon raised his eyebrows in doubt and waited for his master to finish.

" How foolish you are! You are indeed his only son, but I have put you under my influence, " he thought and smirked. " You will never be the same naive hero of the Earth-people, just like your father! "

" Why are you not responding, master? "

" He is already dead, 682, " Kasius lied in reply. " That boy is nonexistent. You will never find him alive. "
